I've made a duelist and got him to lv71 (as of now) using this build.
This build is the best. With using very fast elemental weapons, I get up to 3.92 aps. I use a 5 linked cleave to faster attacks, life leech, added fire dmg, weapon elemental dmg and I never die in maps du to life leech coming in so fast. I found elemental weakness curse to be the best when the most of your dmg comes from all kind of different elementals. Just pop decoy totem on bosses and it survives enough so you can just nuke the boss down. I love this build, good job. |

I respect that you want to keep your skills/gear a secret. Making people think for themselves is never a bad thing. What i don't understand is the reason for doing so. If you actually think you have information that would alter the prices on the market, it seems quite stupid not to monetize off this information, but suit yourself.

" I only posted my build passive because I was asked. Many people were struggling with a DW build and I decided to help. That makes me self righteous somehow. Honestly, I didn't want to post my build up at all but instead I did it and now its 16 pages large with feedback. Very unexpected. Sorry you feel like this is wasted space. You don't have to read it(would prefer you didn't). My decision to not to post my skills is my own. Absolutely zero good will come of it if I do. I'll either have people tell me the skills I use have been done before, or are useless, or I should do something different, etc., etc. My build works for me and I'm happy with it. I've already had people critique my passive tree enough(when I didn't ask for it). I don't need them doing the same about my skills. If you want to see my skills, i am in public groups often. Why do people feel compelled to come in here and hate on someone else's build and/or motives of posting it. It's such a waste of time, no one cares for your opinion so keep it to yourself. Tyger has been helpful to a lot of people who have come in here looking for genuine advice or an interesting DW passive build. He never suggested it was something it wasn't so deal with it. Either behave or take it somewhere else. No one is crowding around to e-pat u on the back for ur dumb assertions.

What weapon type(s) would be the best for this build? (i would like to know what spells you use, i'm not good with builds).

" It's hard to argue against that the decision is your own - I just felt the need to point out that if it is actually groundbreaking it would be quite easy to get filthy-rich of the knowledge. That being said I can understand the wish to be relieved of uneducated opinions about your skill decisions. When that is said, I did actually make a duelist with a build quite similar to this (mana regen nodes until BM is needed and no lava lash) and it's quite enjoyable so far. Nice job -although I'm not far enough (lvl 40) to see if it's this build or just the new duelist starting area that's OP. |

Not talking about skills and gear makes a thread like this significantly less useful than it could be.
Skills and gear comprise at least 50% of the effectiveness of a build. There are many different combinations one could choose etc. There are tons of "builds" that are only effective with multiple high-quality gems, 6L gears, and hundreds of orbs spent attaining them. The point? Those builds aren't useful for 90% of the playerbase who will never have these things. Essentially rendering them useless to those players. Also, there are many builds that hinge upon particular weapon setups, stat selections, or combination of skills. Leaving all this vital information out again, essentially makes a build of dubious usefulness. We'll never know in this case. Tyger's post, his choice. But at the end of the day, I think the guy deserves 100% to be called out for being unconcerned about helping others, while he brays about helping teh "struggling duelists".
