I think Zana is still wearing her old stuff, but she got enough money to buy some mtx.
That said, I preferred the old one, too. Bird lover of Wraeclast

Wow, good art.
HORRIBLE fasion sense, though. White corset with red piping and frills at the hip, but black leggings & cloak? In a rather dark room (and in a game that's mostly dark)? There's no thematic flow between the top and the bottom there at all. Looks like a random clothes tree with a shirt on it. But I can't fault the art at all, it's quite nice. Patch Notes 3.15:
Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive. Patch Notes 3.19: Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment. |

I like the new model and am excited for the improvements we are bound to see for other characters both ally, enemy, and player-controlled!
As has been mentioned earlier, I'm not sure I agree with the direction Zana's new model has been taken. But I only have a few problems with it, comparing it to the old: the questionable thin lace see-through shirt and pants, and the completely out of place monocle. Giving her a more sophisticated look makes more sense with the direction the lore has gone post-10 acts. Zana first appears to us in the Oriath square post-credits, skipping the part most of us were familiar with, where she had been in exile on Wraeclast for untold years with the rest of the Forsaken Masters and our own exile. Now our first impression of Zana is with what looks like other lords, ladies, and merchants in a rebuilding of high class culture and science. Given what we've seen of Oriath's wealthy, I think a more formal and sophisticated look is apropos. Maybe this will change over time with ripped pant legs and sleeves, or entirely new attire added later? A visual progression of her character as we explore the Atlas and complete Zana's mission objectives would be an unexpected but excellent addition. I can always mentally hand-wave sexier attire as "she avoided exile and never entered the more dangerous maps on her own, using mercenaries" (and later on us, the titular God-slayer) as has been changed over time in our story. But the monocle has to go! If some kind of headwear must be included, at least give her multiple spectacles, the kind a jeweler may use to examine gems. That would make more sense, wearing a "scientific" head wrap with layers of lenses to inspect maps and otherworldly artifacts. Bring back race seasons. " Indeed; the "Quest" if it can be called such, is a mere walk away. I think player curiosity would cover it enough. But in a game where many players won't bother to entertain side-areas (looking at you Dread Thicket) unless a quest and reward is promised, maybe it's needed. Especially for newer players. Aside from that, and leaning towards the Cavas update, I'm really hoping that this is not the Shaper, but instead one of the unnamed champions who sought to enter maps in prehistory and combat entropy. One of the champions who sealed the Elder long ago, before Zana's father found it, made covenant with it, and unwittingly released it from its prison. That would make for far more interesting storytelling, I think. Maybe that's wishful thinking at this point. We'll have to wait and see. Bring back race seasons.

Why is everyone losing their shit over the monocle, but no one's questioning that she's wearing bloody lipstick?! Maybe the monocle helps her with examining maps or gems or something, but I fail to see any reason why she'd be wearing lipstick. It doesn't fit with the exile aesthetic, nor does it fit with the academic aesthetic. I can picture her using that monocle to examine the Atlas, but not her picking shades from an Oriathan cosmetics shop (she'd likely just walk right by it without a sideways look).
