PoE 2 servers are restarting in:
.
They should be back up in approximately .

Betrayal in core game is a disaster.

I wish betrayal league was just gone. I explain why:

1) Fighting against syndicate members its bad, boring, dangerous ( if you play HC like me ) and give us a consistent 95% crap reward.

2) The veiled system is awful and tedious. Bad and boring. ( again ).
Taking veiled items to jun to "unveil" ( 99% some crap mode ) was something I stopped doing in my first days of league. So sad this is going core. Don't tell me I need to keep unveiling items for the rest of my life? omfg

3) A GOOD point about the entire betrayal league was the op breachstones to rush level 100 and you NERFED. I can imagine it'll be so hard to make a uber breachstone past 3.6 or expansive as fuck so why keep it in the game anyway?

4) Another good point: Some good SCARABS. Like Sulphite scarab. Oh, you're nerfing right? ROFLMAO

It's a disaster.

Good job GGG you basically kept all the crap shit and the bad part of the league exactly like it is and nerfed/removed the good ones.

I liked Betrayal. I really did/do. As a league mechanic. I still think the core game would've been better off without it.

overshadow the current league gimmick.

It's big ass forts. Some might use the word "intrusive". If it would be as a marked atlas encounter only, I would be OK with it. But as random encounters, just as Incursion, Delve and Bestiary? I don't like it. You could get an Intervention encounter without know it. Not that it's scary. It's just... See bottom line.

Not because it's hard; I liked the encounters - as a league mechanic.
Not because they nerfed the rewards.
Not because of the Mastermind fight.

But because it... Just... Doesn't fit. But hey, that's purely subjective, and I realize that.

I DO have some confidence that TencentGGG can implement a form of Betrayal in 3.6 and beyond that will be similarly complementary rather than intrusive. And if not, they can just include it in that cull they were talking about...

The implementation of Incursion and Bestiary as core mechanics was very good, indeed. Delve, on the other hand; this beautiful piece of content, large in its size and rich in its flavor, locked away - easily fixed with three guaranteed nodes in every Niko encounter.

Anyhow. As always, we'll just have to wait and see. I have no doubt that GGG listens and obey this feedback.

Fighting against syndicate members breaks the "monotony" that has been in the game for a while, it's far more interesting than smashing white, blue and rare mobs and often requires at least somewhat more player input.
The mods given can be incredibly good and the safehouse rewards can be amazing also.

And I play (SSF) HC this league.

The whole premise of your thread is wrong.

If you don't like risk ( dangerous content ) why even play HC in the first place ? You want the bragging rights without having to do efforts (=not to rip) and pay attention maybe ? That's not how it works ... ( altho if you pick fotm skills and 'easy' builds, you're somewhat doing that I guess ).

I agree regarding the Sulphite scarab nerf, it's stupid imo.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Don't get me wrong, i LOVE league contents being added to the core game.

It makes the game a lot better, bigger, nothing against bestiary, incursion and delve content going to the core game. It is actually amazing.

I just think, personally, that betrayal league itself wasn't that great ( maybe I just experienced a whole crap of shit rewards and bad RNG all the league ? maybe ), and still, they decided to keep it.

Even worse: They decided to keep all the bad part together, and "nerf" the good and awesome part of the whole league like uber breachs or scarabs.

That's pretty much all my concern.

But, however, maybe I was a little bit precipitate in creating this thread because I don't know exactly HOW such changes are being maden.

With that said, let's hope for the best:

1) Unveil mode need a fix. Hurry up.
I used to hate bestiary league because of nets, having to carry nets, and bump? Einhar suddently follow me in bestiary maps and now I love him.

2) I like the danger of dangerous fight when its rewarding. Thats why I play HC, answering your question. That's why I do shaper and uber elder playing HC.
Unfortunately, risking my character to be 1shot by some random syndicate member looks awful and stupid if you take a look in the fewer armour scrap or magic shit rewards.
So, no, thanks. That's a big down side of the entire league.
Doing hard content for extremely good reward in HC is amazing and fun.
Doing hard content for nothing in HC is actually stupid.

3) Those nerfs was not needed. Atleast the scarabs one.
I agree that the 100 in this league was ridiculous, and uber breachstones could just be removed or nerfed, whatever.
But, dude, scarabs.... :/
One of the best league contents was just nerfed so hard.
Question is: why?

My end, it justifies my means,
All I ever do is delay,
My every attempt to evade,
The end of the road
And my end....

:D
The only bad thing about the changes (EDIT: Besides veiled recipe learning nerfs) was nerfing Sulphite Scarabs. One of the worst nerfs in PoE's history IMO, more than anything that relates to melee.

Fighting Syndicate members became monotonous in itself. It just isn't a great mechanic to have showing up in literally every single area. Syndicate being a big map event with breaks in between is going to be way better IMO.
