Heavy strike
Dual strike
Viper strike
Glacial hammer
Frenzy (melee)
Puncture (melee)
And assorted others who don't fall into specific categories but are still generally useless garbage melee skills

Bug Fixes:
People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. Also, we went ahead and made cyclone great for CoC casters while we were at it.

Context is a bitch, especially if you do not have the capacity to grasp it or intentionally pick just one sentence and change the context, in which it was originally used.

It was very clear from the original video that the statement is made in context of comparing various spells to each other, where we clearly have winners and than we have spells anyone barely uses. Some examples of popular spells for self-cast: Blade Vertex, Winter Orb or various brands. You dont really see traditional spells much there because "hand-casting" became too slow, too inconvenient or too dangerous. 3.6 should make spells more balanced across the board and create incentives to self-cast again.

Melee? Only if they make our swords and axes fly around and cut our enemies automatically. Oops, they already did that...
Sorry, that track leads to darkness. I don't think they are willing to make all the fundamental changes required for something like hand-to-hand combat become a non-ridiculed part of game again.

Feels like another "go fast, kill fast, loot fast" league is upon us. Sort of like Breach, only bluish. Why not. Let us see, what will stand out in the patch notes.
Given how GGG is reworking and buffing spells which are considered bad to be more on par with the ones everyone uses, I'm sure they'll get around to giving melee the attention it needs.

Seems more like Incursion, but bluish to me. Isolated non-instanced zones, timed, all loot drops when its over, it's all there.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

There was no change in context, the point of the op was that they are fixing spells and doing fuck all about melee when the skills listed there ARE FAR LESS BALANCED than any spell
