the price about exalted

Another thing to consider is this league now has access to a whole new slew of ways to make money. Delves, Incursions, Bestiary and Syndacit all mean more money dropping. More chaos orbs in market, more expensive things get, economics 101.
There is absolutely no way to make chaos orbs not the standard of pricing because then there is no way to sell anything less than an exalt. Divines are too infrequent to be a standard of small cost items. Even so, replacing chaos with another currency just means the bots farm that currency. Simple thing is players are getting more currency than ever with all the new systems in place, I've found 5 exalts so far since start of league myself. |

You could also just look at your alterations, 10 is like a chaos, I used up like 5000 alts for crafting random shit, that's 500c, or 3 exalt.
Of course if you don't play a lot, or not efficiently, then you probably don't have that much. Getting it that fled to research as captain, then upgrading 2 breachstones can be done pretty fast as well and even if you have to buy the normal breachstones it's like 60c for 2 and you get to sell for 2 pure exalts. |

" can you elaborate? What's good there, and where? |

I am not entirely certain why bots are getting all the credit for the current economy in POE. I mean, bots were doing their thing even when the ratio was 30:1 way back when. They have always been a factor in the economy, so it is impossible for this to be entirely to do with botting.
The real issue is that the games meta has shifted ever more towards the insane clear speed. When you have regular people with 50+ quant builds clearing hundreds of maps per hour, and doing hundreds of delves... it adds up surprisingly quick. Honestly, once you have tried a super speedy Tornado Shot build with mad MF, you find it hard to want to play anything else. I intentionally avoided it this league and I have been extremely poor compared to every other league where I played one. It has been very frustrating to feel constantly behind the curve in terms of currency generation, but it has taught some valuable lessons. The game is growing, the player base is expanding and with each new league they introduce more and more valuable items and even more ways of generating currency. And while yes, botting does very negatively impact the game, and should be dealt with harshly, it is certainly not the primary cause of inflation in this game, and it never has been. Honestly, if I was going to point at any one thing, I would point to the websites like poe.ninja that makes currency flipping a breeze. It used to be that you had to keep track of all that information yourself and try to sense the changes based on imperfect information... now that shit is updated in real time and it is easy to see at a glance how the winds are blowing. If you are the kind of person that can just sit in your hideout turning one currency into another with an eye towards that ever shifting percentage point... you can slay the shit out of the market while half asleep and watching Netflix. I spent one day (about 6 hours) when the market was fluctuating around 60 - 70c per 1 exalt and just flipping those two back and forth with a 10c margin, I made 35 exalts... and I wasn't even trying. Like if I put in some serious focus, and expanded to other currency flips, I could have done 100+ exalts in that same time. And I am willing to bet the real flippers would laugh at those numbers. Just my 2c. |

" Okay, that is some serious hyperbole there... if you seriously feel like you need to RMT in order to play this game, then you don't know how to play this game. Even playing casually it is not difficult to play any one build into the mid 90s with better than average gear, and defeat all the content that is available. There is not a single build out there that cannot achieve everything this game has to offer for less than 5ex, and if you cannot make 5ex in 95 levels, then you are the problem, not the game. The ONLY reason a build costs more than 5ex is because you are trying to min/max, it requires some high end unique specifically to function, or some other very specific goal... and that goal is almost always to make more chaos per hour, so you can make another build that is even more ridiculous. Even the most meta builds in the game can do T16 / Uber X on a 5 link. Everything else is just e-peen. |

Well bots are one factor, and while it is true that bots were around since the start of poe.
What is not true is that the value of having bots stayed the same. poe 2013 was a game barely anyone knew about or played. This inherently means there were less potential interested parties for bot farmers to sell their services too. This is not true anymore as poe is , in the public eye, the number 1 arpg on earth as diablo has decided to take the piss for half a decade. hell even china is interested in this game now. That means there is a massive market which botters can find potential customers in. That being said. We also need to consider that chaos orbs are not that useful anymore. All the important recipes are in exalts. all the recipes that use chaos orbs dont need nearly enough of them too matter. zana mods are no longer that important as it is much more efficient to sustain maps through the use of delve and incursion. You don't chaos spam anything anymore . you use essences or these days .. fossils. One can argue that the revamp of the master crafting system itself made chaos spamming less useful as well since there are now far more workable mod combinations that you can throw a master mod on and roll with. So what use do chaos orbs have? I am personally of the opinion that we are still using them as a secondary currency because that has always been the case. But it is clear to me that the chaos sinks in this game stopped working. Last edited by Saltychipmunk#1430 on Jan 3, 2019, 1:25:13 PM

When a massive ban wave goes out EX drops over night in a single sweep it's not exactly a hard concept how much influence bots have on the economy.
Like you literally have to be fucking naive basically not to think they don't have an impact while my clan and I take advantage of the situation it doesn't usually effect us but it does affect the lesser people who don't like doing this shit hell I don't like trading cornering whatever I only do it because it is completely necessary if you wish to get ahead. Organizations control the economy such as mine to a degree but bots do it much much faster and once more you have to be NAIEVE AS FUCK not to think they don't have an impact god dayum dude. " That is a lot of salt there, my dude. Allow me to add some pepper. If your reading skills were as sharp as your tongue you would have noticed that I said it isn't the leading factor, and that remains true. The last ban wave that I heard of saw a drop of about 5c per the price of exalts, and even if the impact was larger than the market indicates, the market doesn't respond as sharply to dips as it does to spikes. The primary factor in all of this is power creep and content bloat. In the last 5 leagues they have added like 10 new forms of high end crafting currency that blows chaos out of the water, and practically no new means of removing chaos from the game. The fact of the matter is, the C as a standard is dead because the C is fucking useless. It server exactly one purpose, and that is to be turned into literally anything else more useful. The naive person is the one that wants to find a boogeyman to lay all their problems on when the real factors are far more varied and nuanced than one all encompassing bad guy that is easy to blame because it breaks the rules. That is a simple way of thinking, as in, the very definition of naive. |

" Tell me do you have any experience in manipulation of the market or experience in the economy as a whole because I highly doubt you do compared to me anyway. Dys an sohm
