Elemental Proliferation

Does this work with "minion instability" and if so, do i just link it up with my minions?
Minion Instability at the moment isn't damage due to engine limitations. It doesn't apply crits or burning at all and so won't benefit from this. Any elemental effects the minions add through other means will be proliferated though.
I want to say a sincere thank you to whoever came up with this support. It's just damn fun to play with.
I'm really disappointed with adding this to glacial hammer (admitted only tested on a lvl 33 duelist, with hatred, glacial hammer, and the +45% cold damage nod)

The freeze/chill effect against a yellow monster, they either have too much life so the effect does not last long, or the monster dies in 1 or 2 shots, again, losing the chill effect from proliferating. If I swing and freeze something and then stop and watch stuff freeze or target another monster, it does work, however impractical that is.

Compared to using cleave + hatred, and hitting many monsters in 1 swing, the effect does spread out through most of a large group of monsters.

Or, compared to using fire, which readily burns everything (and even seems to keep the corpse spreading ignite when it dies).

Overall, it is a fun support, with fire/aoe, but its lacking where I was hoping to make Glacial hammer more functional while whacking monsters one at a time, instead it just makes AOE's even better in comparison.

If you 1-shot a monster with a crit, you lose all the possible proliferating elements from it.

If you don't quite kill it and it burns to death in the next 0.1 secs it now acts as a burning pyre of vengeance on its fellows.

This seems very inconsistent, and it results in the incredibly annoying position of finding yourself doing too much damage to actually get any benefit from it! I really think it will come into its own if it's changed to have corpses radiate the burns/freezes that would have happened to the monsters if they hadn't instantly died.

No, minion instability, due to current engine limitations, doesn't "really" deal damage, and so can't cause anything that triggers on damage, such as burning. We hope to fix this in future.

Burning remains on corpses after death, and thus is still spread for it's duration. Frozen doesn't, because frozen things shatter if they die, however this is balanced to at least some extent because cold damage also has the chill effect which occurs on all hits with (significant) cold damage, rather than only on crits, and is also proliferated like the others.

So shocked is the one which is missing out here. It could possibly be made to stay on corpses after death, I'll bring it up with Chris and the balance guys at some point.
The problem is more if you have any cold damage at all - even 3-5 on gloves - it destroys a proliferation build, because if i 1-shot mobs they just shatter and I get zero proliferation at all.

I literally just had to sell my gloves because i accidentally chaosed them some cold damage lol!

It seems silly that an extra damage type could be that deleterious - at the very least the frozen chunks should burn... :P
On another, very irritating note:

is it intended you don't get flask charges for enemies you burn to death with proliferation? I just checked, and killing 8 mobs with one hit gets me one flask charge.

this also holds true for "mana gain on killing blow" passives from the skill tree or items

How exactly is elemental proliferation working with shock?

If I hit 3 mobs with let's say a single split arrow shot and I crit with lightning damage....

Do they all have 3 stacks of shock if they overlap or does elem proliferation just share a status of "shock" which means they each have 1 still?
How large is "range: 12"? How big is the screen in terms of this measure of size?
