So how do you recommend leveling this b*tch?

I'd like to spend a pleasant evening...

ARC-AddedLightning-Controlled Destruction to 28
then WinterOrb CwC Ice Spear on random gear and 4link with GMP . Everything melts in seconds to maps

Sounds goods, thank you!

What would you use a 5 and 6 links in tabula?

Controlled Destruction and Added Cold Damage or Hypothermia
Mathils actual cat
Thanks man, you're a bro ;)
Without pandemonius I'm feeling really squishy in red 8Mods and against syndicate (missing last ascendancy, sitting at 6k hp@lv88 and using vortex manually). Anyone else encountering those survivability problems as well? Using a Jade flask and a basalt already :)

The only recommendation after playing with this is a jewel with 8% attack speed on sword and Coordination node (12%) making 20% just like onslaught keeping you at 3.73 IAS breakpoint with 14% sword without having to use flask and could continue using Basalt which is very needed.

Thanks for this option, that's a nice one. I'll include it in the main post and credit you for it!

Running chaos golem + enfeeble + correct pantheon + cwdt arctic breath with bonechill? Your life seems to be up where it should be. Also are you leeching life reliably?

Can you explain to me why that 3.73 APS is the most optimal, everyone with similar builds are just running 5aps+ is there any reason for that? Im running a sightly different build then you but i would really like to how to optimise it. im currently running 4.75 aps

It's to get the most possible triggers from CoC. It can trigger 6 times per second or 7.47 if you have 14% Increased Cooldown Recovery from belt or boots.
So you want to critical slightly less often than these numbers.

Imagine the CoC cooldown being 165ms. If you have say 6.2 attack speed (more than what you should) you will critical every ~160ms and this happens:

First hit: Crit - triggers ice nova
Second hit after 160 ms: Crit - doesn't trigger ice nova because it's on cooldown.
Third hit after 320 ms: crit - triggers ice nova.

As you can imagine your DPS will be quite lower. Another option would be to have double the attack speed needed (will result in same amount of triggers, but you invest valuable skill tree and item resources in attack speed)

Maybe the reason you see more APS in other builds is because they some times use blade flurry which doesn't hit twice per attack. So the optimal APS for that would be 6 APS and 7.4 APS respectively. Or because they might not be well optimized.

personally, i'd much prefer Acrobatics than the life nodes from the far left.

yes, those life nodes boost your HP to 6600+ compared to 5600+, however when losing out the 20% life flask recovery from Herbalism +40% evade chance and 30% spell dodge chance will make you more vulnerable to ranged attacks, especially a group of ranged mobs and the risk of being stun locked (you know how bad it is for melee builds) when mapping or doing incursions.

However, having a larger life pool definitely helps against big hits from bosses, as well as more life leech per second.

So i guess it all comes down to personal preference , both have their merits.

Also warlord's mark in here is the superior choice imo, not only because you can leech both life+mana and ignore no regen maps but you also have endurance charges, which significantly increases your Physical damage reduction.

I updated the main post with an optional tree with phase acro as well as my thoughts on it. It's definitely and option.

However as another response stated, I would't go warlords over enfeeble in any case!

I'm casting vortex with bonechill manually (really like doing that while spinning :)) to add the chill effect, just got the last ascendancy, currently have specced a 30 dex node.

Current gear:

Maybe I'm doing something fundamentaly wrong, I'm not the best player :) Thanks for all the time you are taking in answering us and for the build as well! And for the record I already killed a red elder with the build as well ;)

Anytime! keep firing questions if you want :D

Your gear seems pretty amazing already!
Check the gem section and use the version of the helmet without pandemonious. It still allows you to cast vortex like you do now (with a slightly less chill effect, but it's not THAT important) and also includes a CWDT to chill automatically when you get hit. Also make sure you run chaos golem + correct pantheoon + enfeeble! Also if you get lab enchant with enfeeble effectiveness it gets even better. i bought mine for as little as 20c.
I'm running the increased curse enchant :) I saw the gem setup without pandemonius, but thats 1k chromes on average. After spending 4k chromes in trying for a 3g3b loreweave (average calculated was something like 300 chromes) i think that if i'd try coloring the helmet i'd probably throw something at my monitor :)
