Don't nerf Syndicate encounters
This is the first time in god knows how long time that I've found this game 'challenging' in any form other than rngating. Instead of only checking for reflect mods and running a map with brains turned off, I now have to spend a small amount of thought on how the mods affect a possible Syndicate ambush and what I should do in that map's layout about it. It's almost like I'm not playing a netflix and chill game anymore :o

Speaking from personal experience: The issue is that map mods (and for that matter, even tier) don't matter. 7k HP with Fortify and I died leap-slamming over to Aisling who had been 'dead' for several seconds, up to a full minute since I had to leave to finish killing the caravan. No counterplay, which makes the game fun. Just confusing death.
I'm all for challenging content, the more the merrier. Dying instantly, eye cancer, and overtuned mechanics =/= challenging, just unfun. |

What specifically do you enjoy about it? What makes it challenging to you? I'll agree that most encounters are enjoyable, but fortifications in particular feel like they should be adjusted. And possibly Intervention, but others can speak to that better than I can.
For fortifications, they're not challenging IMO. My last fortification in a T2 map with a character that can do higher-tier maps was an absolute shitshow. The summoners were bringing in monsters almost as fast as I could kill them and I'm using one of the more powerful clear skills at the moment (arc traps). The fight took about 5-10 minutes of just mindlessly throwing traps and tapping mana flask hoping to offscreen the summoners because I couldn't get close. That's not challenging IMO. " So your general complaint is that because your build is so bad that you can't get close to the objective, the game should be nerfed to your level? Don't worry, even if I hope no nerfs will come, I'm sure GGG rather listens to people like you. The "what" for me is the same reason why you want it nerfed: there's now a chance that I might, for reasons other than making a stupid mistake thanks to brains being on autopilot, die during mapping. |

I think syndicate is hard but as u said its fun how hard it is atm.
Most of the casuals are having a hard time with the content. If it was up to me i would say dont nerf but i expect ggg to make a tune down for them. Trust your mind and strengthen your abilities!

" You're not making sense, Anon. I never said it should be nerfed to my level. That build as I said is able to clear content well beyond where the encounter spawned. I also never said making mistakes and dying was a bad thing. My point is that you don't have the ability to make mistakes because the smart thing is to go on autopilot and offscreen the monsters. EDIT: I said what I wasn't saying. Just to make it clear, my issues with how it is currently implemented: 1) Encounters are head and shoulders above equivalent content at that level (including map bosses at those levels) 2) Screen effects make it difficult to discern what is happening on the screen 3) Delayed on-death effects that either never expire, or stop counting down when you are no longer near by and resume when you come back Last edited by FathomWheel#0884 on Dec 11, 2018, 6:03:10 PM

Damage just needs to be tuned down a bit. Making it a challenge where I cant face tank it... sure. But the moment the 2 syndicates jump me and im 1 shot.

Please GGG, people like this are the extreme minority right now. You risk losing WAY more people by NOT nerfing this than you would a few elitists that enjoy seeing casual players suffer.

I won't be able to play soon for 2 weeks, and I am afraid that the content will indeed be nerfed too hard when I come back =((

The content has overall become too easy, and this is not a reason to make anything even remotel challenging suffer the same fate.
