Umm.. this is nothing like frozen orb other then that the skill is an orb.. and cold. Mechanically waaay different.
Ball Lightning with Call of the Brotherhood is closer to the Frozen Orb then this. |

Lot of interesting potential here. The aforementioned Whispering Ice comes readily to mind, as does shenanery with Freezing Pulse/Frost Orb. I love Cast While Channeling builds but haven't been able to figure out a good one (that I haven't basically already tried) for a while. This may be a lovely experiment. Will have to put some serious thought into monkeying with this come the new league.

CWC ice spear will feel like garbage with how its being reworked. why? because CWC shoots the casted spells in the direction you're facing, so you'd have to constantly be facing the right direction.
not sure if you would turn while channeling with this skill like you can scorching ray, but i doubt it. i know i'll try this with CWC spark. they both work well with projectiles and duration. its a match made in heaven and maybe even get to make EE work. |

A good start. Expecting its gonna be same for whispering ice with Avatar of fire but with 2 staff. Scorching ray setup for boss and winter orb for map. I can almost see it already, everyone turning this spell to fire. <--- Something need to be changed about cold spells in general.

has nothing to do with cold spells, it has everything to do with fire damage and just conversion in general.
