this.

people just spam away and trade with the first person who parties, with no regard to how it affects others.

This system promotes doing that. No amount of but this is bad will even make it go away.

no, impatient/self-entitled people do that. and it creates a vicious cycle. ...which is the best part. the complainers are responsible for that which they complain about.

So how do you fix this, Mr. Nice Guy? Complain here and call people names?
Wow, woopy-doopy-do Sir, good we have you here.

You wait like a good boi, making sure you don't hurt someone feels by sending them a message, I'll spam and get my items quicker.

You can claim higher ground by being Mr. Nice Guy, but the fact remains - this dumb, broken system actively promotes spamming and no amount of your whiny posts about people being mean is going to fix anything.
Same shit is going on with public party boards being spammed with trades instead of actual trades - you can sit all day complaining people are dumb, but the matter of fact is this system promotes this behavior.

So choice is your - we can either agree that system needs to be improved (so that spamming isn't the best option to get stuff done the quickest) or you can sit here and bitch about how people are bad.

Absolutely brilliant.

I sure hope you're not making decisions over anything more than a shovel.

Would be nice if the game automatically puts me in /dnd when I am delving.

We just need a convenient (e.g. single-click) way of entering and exiting /dnd. Just doing it while delving would be insufficient. I'd also want it for one portal Zana's, breaches, realms, incursions (when they come back), etc. Or a quick reply button we can use "hey, i'm in an event atm, can you wait a sec?"

Edit: I use Trades Companion for that latter purpose but I think that should be a feature in game.

you clearly jest, but if there were permanent repercussions for jerking people around... it would likely regulate itself after a little bit of time.

when spammers realize they're on many/most blacklists of the active traders, they'd be forced to adapt their behaviour or keep on doing the same thing in futility. either way, it's win-win.

buy currency from bots, fast and ez trades every time.

Though a few broke this league but kept inviting people, we ended up trading between ourselves.
It's always the buyers complaining. Every time. Don't get me wrong, the majority of trades go OK. If I'm busy people usually don't mind waiting for 2 minutes if you ask. However-

- 30% of the time, if I take more than 5 seconds to respond I either get no reply or a "got 1" 2 minutes later.
- They don't have the correct currency. If I list something for 10c, I don't want 5c, 2 regals, 3 alcs, and a dozen alts. Unless you ask first.
(I will usually just accept and carry on, but it's still irritating)

- The most irritating one. A tab called 'Offer' Fairly self-explanatory you would think. Yet I get "how much" over and over again... I'm not going to town, searching for it and then giving you a price. It's there because I'm busy and haven't sorted those things out yet, if I think your offer is worth the time portal'ing, I'll take it.

Pretty much why I haven't bothered selling anything this league.

If you could 'rate' traders, it would be abused to hell and back. You clearly haven't been on the internet more than a day if you think otherwise.
more salt on wounds... the system is what it is. Very prone to flippers and price fixing.
you have to trade to get ahead. no way around it. Well, at least we dont have to drop items on the ground and run towards each other to pick up trades, so that's a step ahead since 2012.

When people don't respond I tend to check /whois. If they're in the lab or something it makes sense they don't respond, sometimes you're just busy. But it's weird when they're in the hideout and still can't be arsed to respond.

Should also be said that this issue is probably worse this league due to delve. If you are there, you pretty much can't respond, or you'll die.

In my brief experience it can be a nag to buy cheap items, like low-ish maps or items worth a few chaos. But go a bit over that and people tend to respond more frequently. And as always, don't go for the items listed on top/cheapest. They are often fake, with people trying to price fix and trick newbies. Usually better to go a little bit further down the list, and of course don't bother with AFK guys. Almost always BS listings.

They can be AFK, but not for long enough for auto response. Not anyone would enable AFK manually when going to make a cup of coffee.
