How is PoE on an Ultrawide 2560x1080 monitor?

All i know this game is NOT small monitor friendly like 19inch and lower or 720p and lower..

"Microstutters" that occur literally anytime you burst down a pack and to a point where your fps graph looks like zig zag instead of a line. Having a perfect 120 fps gaming experience for about half of your playtime time and the other half youre 40-60 fps because the game burped is almost worse than just locking yourself to 40 fps and calling it a day.

What is the difference between microstutters and fps spikes again? It's not when the fps graph..spikes...is it?

I can now run PoE @ 2560x1080 on max settings at 180+ frames constant, dropping to 120 or so in heavy particle effect fights / multi screen shatters


Does this include those microsutters occur every 1 to 2 seconds and drop you well below 60 fps or did you actually mean smooth gaming experience at min 120 fps?

You should probably mention that to the OP who aparently also has a "dated" GTX 970.

That would be a negative ghostrider. That wouldn't be too "micro"... I personally don't experience that for anywhere near that amount of time, with HH included.

Netcode is a fickle beast and PoE is a game that doesn't cut corners with calculations. The game allows for pseudo infinite scaling in some cases so yea do the math. You want to run 3 herald effects, extra gore, a character effect, 2 weapon effects on top of asking the engine to compute calculations for your 300% MS HH build with 10 sets of buffs up DURR THE GAME AND (!MAYBE YOUR PC! - did you gasp?) MIGHT LAG A LITTLE. Use your brain and adjust accordingly for what you got and what you are playing. Oh yea and if you didn't know this game isn't really that well optimized so you might need better than average hardware to run it well (did you gasp again?)..

I am a reasonable man. I highly doubt I could get a stable frame rate playing Sire of Shards Magma Orb GloomFang Chain w/ 2 Snakepits with some fancy MTX but now does anyone think they realistically could playing a build like that? You are pushing the game to its absolute limits.. There's really no cap...again, being realistic and reasonable helps here. You either accept the game for what it is or don't in this regard. But I will say if what you are describing is honest and not dramatic, it can be improved with better hardware. Use my NVIDIA code at checkout :PP

You sure changed your tune fast. I never asked about shard orb with gloomfang snakepit. I asked about generic bow and wand builds captain straw man.

So can you or can you not actually play poe with a maxed QoTF wander/ bow at 2560x1080 max settings at 180 frames constant dropping to 120 or so in heavy particle effect fights / multi screen shatters?
