" Cute post. Lemme guess, your build is so superior it can only get 50fps and not 1 frame more.... I play closed to maxed MS QoTF wanders / Bow characters every league. BV this league. No issues. Again you are seriously misinformed, stop spreading garbage because you or your computer are of the potato variety :) Prophecy @ WizKid - 94 BV Pathfinder Prophecy @ SmackDown - 93 TS Assassin Essence @ Wallbang - 93 Crit Lacerate Elementalist Breach @ GodoftheBreach - 94 BF Inquisitor Legacy @ BradPitt - 92 LL Ele Wander Inquisitor Last edited by joebagz#4481 on Jul 19, 2018, 5:07:55 PM

" He most likely has a 120hz refresh rate. Aren't most builds that lag a result of network slowdown from the build and not so much CPU/GPU performance? Last edited by JakeCourtney#1976 on Jul 19, 2018, 5:09:21 PM

" My toaster is a gtx 970 and i7 8700k 4.8 gh at 1440p and 144 mhz. Could you post a video of your QOTF wander doing end game content with the fps graph enabled at 2560x1080p, max settings and 120 min fps? I assume this is a 120 mhz monitor and not a 60 mhz monitor. Why go out and buy brand motherboard/CPU and keep your 2014 GPU?

" Why spend money on a rediculously overpriced nvidia cards when the performance gain may be little to none and next gen cards on the horizon? I have not seen video evidence a 1080ti and i7 8700k can run 1440p,120+ fps stable with a high speed build like KB with herald of ice vs dense end game maps. Are you seriously telling someone to drop money on a 1080ti for a 'chance' of stable gameplay against poe's incredibly dated engine? The absurdity here is the previous poster proclaiming how smoothly poe runs - a 10 year old game runs on his 1080ti and i7 8700k, hilarious. I'm guessing you had a toaster CPU and RAM before to warrant the upgrade to a new chipset? Otherwise minimal gains also apply.

" You are aware that you are running a GPU that has about 1/2 that power of a 1080ti right? I don't really understand what you are confused about here in regards to your own performance. Your card isn't great and its dated. This isn't really rocket science. Also the refresh rate of the monitor isn't relevant, you get no more or less FPS output in relation to refresh rate... GPU determines performance aka framerate output, the monitor works internally to display that framerate per the constraint. There is no lost performance. If you honestly think I'm lying about my PoE performance (me and Chris Wils got that NZ/US Kiwi backchannel going obviously duh) I don't know what to tell you, you might be a little wacko. I can't be assed recording a video for you sorry. There are other people with 1080ti's in this thread that can lend the same experience as myself, which is that the game doesn't run like booty like it does on your GTX 970.. I don't know what to tell ya. Prophecy @ WizKid - 94 BV Pathfinder

I'm not going to spend money on a 1080ti just because someone on a forum makes unsubstantiated claims without any sort of video proof. Maybe the wacko is the one who expects others to believe without any sort of evidence despite being perfectly capable of providing evidence yet expects others to spend 800 usd for a video card prior to said evidence?
surely if it's such an easy baseline to achieve someone here can post a video of their graphically intensive build doing end game content and managing to play poe at 1440p at 120 fps+ stable without rediculous fps spikes each time they shatter a large pack. " I never told you to spend money on a 1080ti.. I simply pointed out that your comments about this game's performance are simply misleading to people reading the thread. Other's agreed with better hardware than you telling you that they don't experience what you do. Saying shit like you "need to play a heavy strike build to get a consistent 60 fps" is laughable whether you were joking or not. Also everyone seems to "micro-stutter". This isn't the same thing as FPS spikes. If you are spiking that's one thing but micro-stuttering like Jake said, that seems to be all sever-side calculations causing that due to all the added bells and whistles attached to your build. I'm experiencing this now with Beacon of Ruin. I'm running Inpulsa's w/ a double curse on hit setup but as soon as I allocated Beacon of Ruin I stutter when I explode a huge pack. All the calculations seemed to put it slightly over the edge. The same thing happens with HoI + a CoH setup when it seems to calculate all life/mana gained and damage from curse effectiveness over multiple screens of enemies, you stutter a little. It's not the same as FPS lag. I have no idea if predictive mode would help that (I assume it would) but it doesn't bother me enough to switch from lockstep. Prophecy @ WizKid - 94 BV Pathfinder
