Sorry but incursions just suck
" well there's your first problem, you need to be shield charging not running I'M not oneshotting packs as spectral throw like at all and I still make the timer msot of the time yeah sometimes a layout fucks me o I fuck up, but that happens. " if by "normal" you mean "shitty" then sure also, stop with this whole "meta build" nonsense a: there's more build diversity than ever thanks to the skill reworks b: the whole point of a temporary league is that how well you adapt and abuse that league mechanic if some builds get left behind that's okay, they'Ll shine in the next one. but as I said, there are more good builds now than there were in bestiary. " but that's the point you have to adapt and plan well to make the most of it, why is that a bad thing? " that's part of ARPGs though |

well there is only two ways to fail an incursion lack of speed or lack of damage
so clearly you lack one or the other I dont see any any key!

" 1. I don't need to be shield charging. As per your later comments, there are other valid builds other than shield charging. If you can't manage incursions without shield charging, do you not see the irony of this conversation? 2. No, "Normal" as in ..not shitty, and not meta. Normal. I would consider Warchief Totems to be normal. Blade Flurry / Reave to be normal. Freezing Pulse to be normal. Nothing extraneous to be needed to make it work, and they're far from "shitty". There is no "meta build nonsense". The meta builds are meta for a reason, and they're the ones being run or named by players ( yourself included ) where it's scoffed at if you can't do something. They're also the ones being run by people who have understandably no problem with completing everything 100% of the time ( or thereof ), while downpunching everyone else who has a problem with something. I run a meta clearing build, and it just aggravates people like yourself that I might also have the sensibility to point out something is wrong, while doing so. Obviously it's not the content, it's how I play a build that should never have issues with any clearing. Maybe you can just know both, that your build is super good, and the content is janky as hell. 3. No, "the point" is that it goes beyond "getting good" to make it work, and it's almost entirely about RNG and some builds / tiers of builds just not being feasible to do the content. It's not a bad thing to adapt ( did you not actually read what you are quoting? ), but it's a bad thing when adaption still doesn't get you where you need to be at the most basic level. That's when you need to either throw a ton of currency, or change to a different build entirely, just to do the most basic part of the content ( like opening doors ). That's not gating someone behind being too stubborn to change the way they think, that's gating someone behind a poorly designed chunk of content that can only be done a very specific way. 4. "That's ARPGs" is not a valid argument. What does that even mean in the context of what you quoted? It doesn't argue or articulate anything, it just says something inane like "that's just how it goes!". |

" I lack neither, so maybe you should recheck your algorithm for failure. And maybe actually argue / defend a point ...instead of escaping to just say something else inane that doesn't add to the conversation ..but makes you feel better about your position. The argument being, that even with more than enough damage and speed, there is still a high room for failure, based on RNG of room layout, of the stone drop, etc. Completing incursions is not just about doing enough damage and going enough fast, fast, fast! But you certainly do have troubles completing it without enough damage and/or speed at the level it's tuned for ( way higher than it should be ). We're not arguing that people should be able to clear red tier maps with freshly act 10 cleared characters. But you should be able to clear content appropriate for you without hassle; and at the very least you should be able to clear architects and open a door before the timer runs out, while sacrificing the rest of your loot for not having cleared out the incursion while doing so. You should be able to, at the very base level of engagement with the content, actually be able to engage with the content. Getting giant loot explosions is a fine reward for players who do better and gear better. |

" sure, but it synergizes insanely well with blade vortex because it's an autopilot ability. and why wouldnt you use it if you have the access to it. " reave is great for clearing incursions, I'd assume freezing pulse is fine too altough on selfcast it probably sucks (but that's a different issue entirely) but you can just hotswap it to frostbolt without any adjustment and clear the incursions. warchief might be one of the few exceptions, but that's gonna happen any league. " but there are so many of them, literally you can make almost any skill work to do well in incursions unless it's a very specific single target skill like barrage. " no, recognizing what build works well for that content is part of "getting good" I shed no tear for people who refuse to adapt and then whine about it. you'd have some grounds if there was a very narrow array of builds that work, but that's not true at all there are so many builds that can do incursions well that it's completely futile to talk about it. seriously, it's not tuned that hard. seriously, noone would call spectral throw "meta" this league and yet i'M doing more than fine with it incursions. is it worse than arc traps? sure it is, are incursions tuned for arc traps? no they arent I come out of an incursion with like 25 seconds left with arc trap, so a "normal" build should be more than fine completing it just in time. either adapt or dont, but dont cry if you cant. "[/quote] yes it is the whole genre is literally about amaassing gear to be better and better at slaughtering shit. so you needing gear to slaughter shit should not come as a surprise. the one and only thing that might be a bit "too much" is that rare mobs have a bit too much hp but even that is mostly fine, Last edited by shaunika90#5422 on Jun 11, 2018, 6:22:29 PM

It's the combination of the timer, serious lag, and regular crashes that make Incursion unplayable.
Just now I had the door at the edge of my screen, with a stone in between me and the door. I had seven seconds left. I didn't make it in time because of lag. Some rooms are worse than others. The pools of restoration are horrible. I've had my frame rate drop to less than one in that water. I've also had at least four client crashes while in incursions or temple, mostly the temple. GGG needs to quit hiring inexperienced people and start hiring people who know what the heck they are doing. It amazes me when they advertise for employees and want two years experience or whatever. Some of these people they talk about hiring have no experience whatsoever. Make it twenty years, not two years. Better yet, make it thirty years experience. GGG needs to fix the fucking game. |

" not gonna say it's on your side 100% but I havent had any issues whatsoever. but I know it used to happen before so yeah. |

Sorry, but Incursions just suck. So was said about Bestiary as well when that were.
Guess some people just say every League sucks. Whether it actually does or doesn´t. |

" I'm not the only one. A bunch of people have been talking about both lag and crashes. This started with Incursion. One person might be coincidence. A bunch of people is not. Yea, we've been through this in the past. When Act 4 came out it was really bad. It's the reason I quit playing HC. Every now and then GGG makes some improvements. But then they come out with new versions and we are right back were we started. One of the more recent things I can think of is the burning ground effect. It's like one step forward and one step back. This time it was a BIG step back. I don't even know if it's completely new elements, or just a combination of old elements. For example I've always suspected that rooms with a lot of torches cause lag. Solaris in Act 3 has always been jittery. I try to change tempest rooms into something else, because tempests cause lag - that's nothing new. The water in restoration pools causes lag. Those bridges over that smoke/fog stuff causes lag. Whatever it is, it's not just me and it started with Incursion. |

Doors in INcrusions are opening automatically - just walk to them dont need to click on them.
And as usuall there will be group that doesnt like current league - no matter the league. |
