Loreweave was not given

So hang on a moment. You claim that you thought that the armour was in the gift wrapped box right?

Now, you can't instantly add 60 rings to the trade window, you have to click on each one individually.

After adding 5 rings the prophecy would have shown you the gift wrapped box in the trade window. So how did you reconcile that you were getting the armour with only 5 rings and not 60?

Because he is talking shite and just spammed the rings in the trade window and probably did something else meanwhile like watching his favorite PoE-Streamer.

Not getting the crappy unique prophecy in 1400 hours is just plain right not possible. You get that shit in every level range. He is just pissed and looking for excuses.

No need to be rude.

I got the prophecy lots of times and sealed it through it away. I never used it.

And your 1300 hours of experience didn't make you wonder why in addition to this box that you thought contained a Loreweave, the vendor also decided to give you a bunch of bonus currency? What other recipe gives you more than what the recipe is supposed to give?

i totally wondered about that and found the whole thing puzzling. I assumed that if i followed the recipe GGG provides, it would provide the result GGG says it will.

But clearly, according to some posters, it was my mistake for thinking things would happen this way in the game.
hahaha - GGG apologised 3 times in separate emails to me, then msged me yesterday to say they have moved this thread from "Bugs" to "Gameplay". Must be part of the game-playing experience then...
Just because a company apologizes, doesn't mean that there's anything wrong. This is just a good way to treat the customer. How would you feel if they didn't apologize? Probably pretty terrible. It seems to me there's no good way in your mind that GGG could respond outside of, "We'll fix this for you."

The fact is, no matter what you think, this just isn't a bug.

There has to be some recipe priority system. Just because you think it should have prioritized Loreweave over the prophecy, doesn't mean that's how it should be. What basis do you actually have that Loreweave should be prioritized? You can't use "it's more valuable" as an argument, as value is fluid in the game (and hard for GGG to track). As others stated, since a prophecy is a 1-time thing, that seems like the best reasoning to prioritize that.

But even that is tenuous. I wouldn't fault the recipe system for working either way. And when possible, recipes always show you the exact item given. The mystery box is only for when you get a random item. Otherwise, you see exactly the base type of item you get. (Possible unid)

I can't blame you for feeling upset about what happened--anybody would. Path of Exile is a large and complex game, and it's hard to know all the interactions. There are plenty of unintuitive things. But what's important is how you deal with these things that happen.

Of course they won't give you a Loreweave after that. After all it was your own oversight.

Fun fact: You said you didn't know that the wrapped gift box was from that prophecy because you never had it before, someone called you out on that blatant lie and then you just said you always sealed and threw them away? Meaning you encountered the prophecy, you knew what it did and apparently you always instantly sealed it, but not this time when you were actually going to trade uniques to a vendor? Wow.

Fun fact²: Of course they would apologize to you, it's what the customer service does to calm raging customers like you, even if they have done nothing wrong.

Fun fact³: All the currency from 55 unique rings didn't let you hesitate one bit before you completed the trade? Wow.

And a last one: For all the people saying the priority should be switched. What if I want to trade 5 rings into the wrapped gift and the other 55 into vendor currency? Damn I would be so mad that I got a Loreweave instead of currency and a random unique that I would open a forum post about it and blame GGG for it.

Long story short: you have no right for a refund, get over it. We make mistakes all the time and we learn from them. So take this lesson home with you and move on.

On a related note: you still haven't adequately explained yourself on this topic. It's not possible to dump your whole inventory into a trade window at once, so you must've clicked the rings one by one. At five, the prophecy result would've shown up. After that, you'd start getting offered alt and alch shards. What the ungodly fuck did you think was happening as you started getting offered more and more shards for rings 6 through 60?

This is so sad and so funny a the same time.

If it makes you feel better OP. when I played this game on the Xbox to try it out I was messing around with the inventory and moving currency and stuff around.

Well I picked up a stack of 10 exalts to move it and guess what... accidently deleted the shit. I was sad but was laughing at the same time at my own stupidity.

Shit happens, mate.

You'll look back and laugh at this one day.

On a side note, You ahve to put the rings into the trade window one click at a time. Did you not notice the gift box popup after the first 5 rings you put into the trade window? At most you would have only lost 5 rings... oh well.

It wasn't a blatant lie or any sort of lie. I have spoken completely honestly about what happened.
The point, Jenx, is that it's been pointed out to you dozens of times now that you were given a huge number of warnings of what you were going to get. You may be speaking completely honestly, and you may still be outraged that Grinding Gear isn't breaking policy they put into place for a VERY GOOD REASON specifically to fix your mistake.

But it's still your mistake. Continuing to rant over it accomplishes nothing. Nobody's going to sympathize with you beyond 'tough luck, mate. Just treat it as a learning experience'. We've all made dumb trades or done dumb things in the game. Just let it go. If that means taking the league off because this soured Incursion for ye? Then take the league off. You'll get there.

There will be more Loreweaves. No need to keep demanding Grinding Gear break policy they absolutely will not break for very obvious reasons over this one.
