End of Act 5 impossible

Thanks, that's a very good point about the leveling then. I had forgot that you lose XP when you die in these higher levels. I'm halfway to 74, so best to farm until 74 then.

Good info, so I've gone back to the Deceiver belt. About 250 less life than with the other belt, but sounds like that is a worthy trade-off. Leveling up takes a long time now, but I should get some more %-life from the tree eventually, so that will help getting me to 5000.

Another -30% resists will hurt a lot though, seeing as I already struggle to get it. Could be I ought to start trading after all. Just haven't bothered as it sounds time-consuming, and also a bit risky (damn scammers). Have no Exalts (probably extremely low drop chance), but have 21 Chaos (some from the recipe).

OMG, that was a fight and a half. Really pleased about killing the guy (and oh so many minions) on the first try without dying :) He sure hit hard though, and all those minions were surprisingly dangerous. Thankfully I had 3 life flasks, otherwise I'd probably have died many times over. There were times I was just spamming them hoping at least one had charges left, with the life pool dwindling near the bottom. Think the remove burning and bleeding flasks came to good use ;-)

For the near future, maybe you will get to the point when the questing is done and you start with maps, that the incursions will be too strong to survive. I found myself at this point and thought that it is unbelievable just some more levels higher and it feels like doing no damage anymore. And I did not want to die and die just for getting higher, so I started what I would call running small temples.
At first I used the act9 vastiri dessert with level 61 always looking for alva and doing the incursions. When done opened a new instance by crtl click at the map and did it 11 times again. This gives you temple level 61 and maybe some nice loot, while your skill gems level.
Later I choose higher level quest area and did the same. At last I used the reliquary level 67 for the incursions and temple. This helped me to get higher in level and getting some currency and nice drops.
Now I can do the incursions in small tier maps, but the temples are getting harder.
Just don´t stop or give up, sometimes it needs a step back to more forward later. Good luck

So.... it has been a while and I've recently changed to a different build, a witch arc. Up comes Innocence which I had such extreme problems with earlier, and this time with less than 1300 life. Therefore really pleased to say I'm still deathless after this fight. It took a while, but down they went. Being ranged helped I think, as did a decoy totem.

Kitava will be a very different beast, and with so little life I may not survive one of his rakes for instance, but we shall see. Whatever else happens, there has been some progress over the last 6 weeks, which is nice to see in retrospect.
