General Discussion - Notes about Vaal skills gems and triggering in 3.3.0 - Forum

So JIC someone else was confused half way through this post as to the word 'triggered' he is referring to gems like cast on crit, cast on damage taken etc that 'trigger' the skill without it being cast. These will cast the non vaal version of the skill but not the vaal version. Sounds to be like a potential future support gem. Since You confirmed that lvl 20 Vaal "insert skill here" socketed into +2 (example) to level of socketed vaal gems will provide us lvl 22 vaal skill AND lvl 22 normal skill (if htey are in one gem ofc), here comes my question: I will use specific example. Lets take lvl 20 vaal blade vortex. One other question: If the Vaal skill is in a triggering setup, the regular version will trigger but the VAal version won't. That makes sense. If you cannot support it with trigger gem, it won't get cannot be cast manually neither. Anyways, bumping for answers. D: Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
