Nice vid dude. I say if carrions are not to be nerfed they would still be the one people go with. This also depends if ele golems gets nerf or buffs. I miss old flame golems.
Trust your mind and strengthen your abilities!
Stone and carrion golem are seeing significant nerfs after all. In addition to ascendancy loss, base golem dmg from skill, rotten claws, and renewal. Flame G. might end up a wash.
Update 1.7 (15/01/2021)
-Updated Pob for 3.13
-added Mastermind of Discord and selfcast Wave of Conviction for big fire exposure debuff
I am not happy with the DPS numbers on Flame Golems so far tbh. Maybe i will get some suggestions for better DPS later on, but with bosses HP being in hunderds of millions i don't yet see how far it's possible to push.

The only way I see to boost dps is what stone and carrion do, stack levels with convoking wand and necklace, lvl 28 is doable without losing slot if using helm. The other thing might be stacking dbl dmg with awakened Spell echo, avian/Saqawal's ,and a bunch of renewal clusters. Running frenzy/power charges would yield a bit more. All of that is min/max and certainly costly.

All said, I lost 20% total dps off stone G with the nerf, not sure where carrion fell but it should be at least that.

Yeah, we did get hit quite hard by the Ascendancy rework. With my 11 Golems it translates into a loss of 220% increased damage. On a positive note, we do no longer care for Golem life.

I did a bit of work on my Tree and added a nice Cluster Jewel with Renewal and Feasting Fiends, gained a socket for another Harmony and more life in the process, 9.5k now but lost 1% Regeneration.

To make up for some of the dps loss I'm using Arc now with Awa Hextouch + Flammability + Elemental Weakness (-98% reistance, also works in Hexproof maps), done away with Multiple Projectiles and using Controlled Destruction instead... a single salvo of of 16 Balls still enough to clear most packs in one shot.

So Flame Golems are now linked to Spell Echo, Awa Minion Damage, Awa Elemental Focus, Awa Controlled Destruction, Awa Fire Penetration.

Removed Lightning Golem from Helmet (he doesn't need the minion life support anymore) and have only Stone Golem, Chaos Golem, Feeding Frenzy and Combustion in the Helmet.(They get the required Fire Damage from my Ghastly Eye Jewel)

Of course I'm still using Blood Magic... my build has gotten even lazier... only button I need to press occasionally is Convocation.

I must say, at first I was a bit skeptical but now I really do like Primal Aegis, aborbs 2500 Elemental Damage and takes tankiness to a whole new level.

As for the new content, plenty nice enchants available for our Jewels (stun avoidance, aura effect, movement speed, life regen... pick your poison) and I'm aiming to get 1.30 APS on my Clayshapers (quality applies to att speed instead) and Heist is heaps of fun. ;)

Just wondering, how does this not screw up Elemental Equilibrium?

Just looking at your new Skill Tree... so you did not take Elemental Equilibrium.

Why not? The -50% resistance debuff beats Wave of Conviction Exposure hands down, even with the bonus from Mastermind of Discord. And when you take Shaper of Storms instead you get perma-Shock to the tune of at least 26% more damage taken, which can be tweaked even further (especially w Vaal Arc).

I see you have a Primordial Eminence... I'd say another Harmony would be more beneficial. as much as I like the 30% Golem Buff. ;)

Here's my build, if you want to have a look:

Maybe i will get some suggestions for better DPS

Here are a few tips for "moar deeps"... ;)

1. You don't have Feeding Frenzy, this buff is a huge boost for our Flame Golems.

I have it linked to my Stone and Chaos Golem, this is reliable and guarantees 100% buff uptime in combat.

2. Combustion will reduce enemy Fire Resistance by 20%. I have Combustion Support linked to Stone and Chaos Golem, giving them a 50% chance to ignite. To do this, however, they will need a source of Fire Damage. Since we don't use Anger (what a lackluster Aura), we need it on a Ghastly Eye Jewel (which also increases Flame Golem DPS).

(goes without saying, 30% Hinder is a sweet bonus, especially since we don't chill anymore)

3. I don't know why you're using an Ice Golem, I prefer the Light Golem as it hugely increases my cast/attack speed. Either way, if possible you may link Culling Strike here.

4. You have taken Righteous Army and Redemption in the Skill Tree, that's 6 passives. A single Harmony gives more damage (80% incr.), so I recommend a Large Cluster Jewel instead), preferably with Renewal (chance for Minion double damage), then you will need 5 passives for the extra jewel socket (which leaves you with a spare passive for EE). And replace that Primordial Eminence with yet another Harmony.

5. You have anointed your Amulet with Ravenous Horde but Gravepact (Minion double damage) is more DPS. The biggest boost will come with Whispers of Doom, of course (also the single most expensive Anointment, 3 x Gold) ... maybe with some secy Warlord Ring (curse Flammability on Hit) and Elemental Weakness. Even more expensive is Awakened Hextouch Support which will grant us an additional curse and can apply curses to hexproof enemies.

Speaking of Amulets, why don't use The Primordial Chain, it's slightly more damage and solves all minion speed issues. I'm also a firm believer in "Strength in Numbers", them three extra golems translate into a whopping 15% more physical damage reduction and almost 250 more life regenerated per second (taking the 24% increased recovery rate on my silly belt into consideration).

And with eight Flame Golems I've done away with Multiple Projectile Support, the "less damage" penalty is just too big and there's no evidence that monsters can take damage from more than one Magma Ball from the same source at a time (shotgunning). I don't care for missing the odd straggler but Empower or (Awakened) Fire Penetration gives me a ton of extra single target damage.

6. As mentioned above, Elemental Equilibrium and Shock results in a lot more damage than Wave of Conviction + Mastermind of Discord.

Last but not least, lvl 21 Golem Gems are cheap AF (thanks to the Rite of Elements Divination Cards), so get lvl 21 Stone and Chaos Golems, in your Vertex helmet they will be lvl 22 which is most important for the Chaos Golem to grant you 5% rather than 4% physical damage reduction.
