We got folks complaining about Nazis when they added Oriath, how much you guys want to bet me? Cortez was a maniac that committed genocide, etc?

I can't wait for the league. I find Incan, Aztec, Mayan culture fascinating.

I have to say that I am not a big fan of it. Not so much in the cultural appropriation sense, but as in lifting the cultural motives wholesale and copy-pasting them to a place where they have no reason to be at all.
For example, the Oriathian religion obviously borrows many motives and symbology from Christianity. But it also puts its own unique spin on it to make something that's new and different. I hope the Vaal lore will do a similar service to mesoamerican cultures, and not be just a carbon copy of (the popular interpretation of) them. if it's a bout the actual hteme i could guess that some people may complain about the theme glorifying the supposed cannibalising of human sacrifices that happened in the Great Temple. A place this league is no doubt based on.
