I hope for the day I find shit on my own rather than trade.

I found these in the first 3 days of Flashback. Sounds like you just need to get better at finding stuff.

I'm sure someone found a Tabula Rasa on Twilight Strand. I guess they're just good at finding stuff too :)

(I wonder if it actually drops on Twilight Strand....OG runners should know)
Thanks for all the fish!

It sure does ;)

I'd like to know how many items of any value I have just destroyed. Unlike others, I pick up way too many rares. Way, way, way too many. The problem though, is that I have zero concept of what is valuable and usually end up just trashing everything.

Forever broke casualling intensifies.
I miss the loot pinata bosses in D2 -- we need more of this in PoE.

I just found a koams, and I'm playing flashback SC SSF. Super excited because I know how rare it is to drop. If the mode had increased drop rates, I wouldn't be nearly as excited.

I for one am glad SSF has the same drop rates, otherwise it would feel cheap to me.

Even though you're giving up the chance to just trade for one? I think you're doing some unusual mental gymnastics here. To convince yourself that having increased drop rates makes an item 'cheap' on SSF when you can't trade for it at your leisure on non-SSF is definitely contorting around a very contrived perspective. I think you're telling yourself that to cope with the fact that GGG made SSF mode nothing but an act in exhibitionist self-flagellation.

The rarity of the item shouldn't be what gets a SSF player excited; the utility is. Play however you want, but if you're going to get excited about the rarity (which implicitly means it's worth more on the market, especially if it has high utility as Kaom's Heart certainly does), why are you playing SSF?

When I said players had a price, you've just proven me right. If you found a mirror of kalandra on SSF and you've made clear you care about rarity and comparative value resulting from that, I suspect you'd migrate from SSF in a heartbeat. Even if on a throw-away character to retain that SSF cred. That's not real SSF then. That's just being a SSF tourist. Which is fine, but sort of dulls the edge of even having a SSF mode if people can just leave it whenever they want. I think PoE's SSF mode is a farce. A little badge to tell others how awesome (or more aptly, masochistic) you are...that you can take off whenever you want.

I mean, some of us were playing SSF long before GGG gave us that little badge to prove it. It's fun to wear but it means nothing in the long run if the league itself is exactly the same as non-SSF and you can surreptitiously freight items found in SSF to non-SSF.

So if I boiled down your response, you're essentially just calling me a liar. I can't answer why you can't wrap your head around the fact that some people actually play an arpg for the loot hunt, but I'm one of them. If I found a mirror on SSF, I absolutely would not go and sell it, I'd collect it just like I'm holding on to my Koams.

And listen up if no one's every told you this before; when, in a discussion, a person's only response is to call others a liar without anything to validate or back that up, the discussion with that person is over. If your only response is essentially "well I don't like what you've said, so I'm going to imply that you're making it up", and you have nothing to back up said claim, then you're out. You're not allowed a seat at the table if you can't actually have a debate.
but what about player interaction to show of the dank MTX?
