Map drop rates are broken.

I stopped running red maps after i completed the Atlas. There is no point in chasing elder in red maps when you need to spend your time trading maps. Uber Elder is pain in the ass too.

This does mean, however, that once you have 100% chance you can no longer drop Tier 1 maps.

I am not disagreeing that mapping feels terrible this league... but just clarifying the mechanic.

There's a good reddit on this. You're mostly right, except T1 can drop and bypasses this increased level.

Either way, without the temple, I would be out of maps. With the temple, I have enough maps to run, but now that I'm 90....I'm exhausted by the nearly no XP each map gives me.

T10s still give ~4% exp at level 90. Are 25-30 yellow maps really that much?

I don't know how you guys can't sustain maps. Since Breach I've never even felt the need to chisel my maps. Harbinger was icing on the cake. Temple Warehouse / Atlas is just bonkers.
If we were talking about T14+, granted there is the ocassional drop. But whenever someone mentiones white maps you have to be actually trying not to progress. Sustaining Yellow Maps, like T6-10? You must be joking lol.

I test returns all the time, running 10*'X' Tier map until I match the investment.
(e.g Start with 10x T11 and go until I get 10 x T11 back)
I may do a few sextants here and there and Zana's Beyond but generally its just alc and go. Nothing special, no chisels, no special atlas.

I have yet to do this without also getting a huge amount of -1/-2 maps and at least 50%(5) +1/2's back.
You can't just run 5 maps and then come cry on the forums that 'drops are broken' because they are not, and haven't been for years.

With the temple now, you have no leg to stand on, It's actually ridiculous how many maps it gives just clearing mobs, even with no map room.

Strange, but I have about 2-3 map per temple without map room.

Ran 10 red maps yesterday (2chissels+alch each) + whole temple lvl 81 and got ZERO red maps back.. #FeelsBadMan

why this patch is so shit? I just came back from a longer break and its super boring.. all patch will only run t3 burial chambers on mf char with occasional uberlab when it has good layout

I don't really like how atlas is going - I really liked to shape a map and sustain it and just run the map I like over and over..

You barely invested more than one chaos per map even tho the lowest T11 sells for 3c already and you encountered bad RNG. Did you expect to get showered in red maps by investing close to nothing?
You'll get that currency back from those maps if you're efficient about it.
