Map drop rates are broken.
Spoiler
Well, no. Add lvl 83 temples to the mix, with decent chance of getting triple carto boxes in there, and I can't really say how you manage to not sustain T13+ maps. Personally, I simply get Atlas bonus as high as possible and shape maps with highest monster count (instead of linear maps, which tend to have way less monsters). Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. | |
I literally have 158/158 and i cant sustain T14+
I alch and chiesel every map and pump it up with atziri fragments. Whenever i get a elder map, i 5/5 sext and beyond on it and i barely drop any maps. Im not at home to show you a print of my maps tab, but its sad. What am I doing wrong ? Also i try to get my temple to be 83 only. And only when i get a carto room i drop some high maps. Im not talking about sustaining red maps, couse T11 and T12, even T13 i have plenty, im talking about sustaining t14 and t15 and even t16. Ppl saying "ur trash if you cant sustain maps this league" are just ignorant. I`ve never done full atlas competion, and i only play the game for less then 1 year, maybe im noob, but i expected to be able to run t14 and t15 100% of the time with 158/158, guess i was wrong. " It sounds like you're very inefficient and inconsistent about your higher tier maps. Also an eldered map is basically a waste of time IF you have a fully completed Atlas. You have to be as efficient as possible to sustain T14s+ and this requires you to be able to preroll big batches of maps because this will allow you to align most Sextant mods with the right map mods instead of randomly throwing them on there and it will even enable some interactions with Prophecies. Obviously this is way easier with shaped maps and don't forget about influences. " Atlas completion doesn't increase the amount of maps you're getting. It won't magically sustain your maps. T14+ is very hard to sustain and requires not only investment and time but a lot of knowledge of certain interactions with map mods, Sextants, Prophecies, map layouts, density and influence. There are very few people who even get to this point, don't expect it to be easy in any way. Last edited by Scarletsword#4354 on Jul 2, 2018, 7:11:35 AM

" You get a Temple every 11 maps you do. I usually drop about 11 red maps in one temple (more if I get an Atlas and am lucky in the Warehouse), but even without any map containers I at least drop 5+ red maps in the Temple. Which basically means I have to drop another 6 in the 11 maps I'm doing. And while I still have troubles dropping some specific maps to complete the atlas, sustaining red maps is a nonissue. Sustaining T13 is doable, although I personally much rather play T11 maps instead of upgrading them to T12 and then T13. I usually just Alc + Vaal, since Vaal Orbs are super common this league. But to be fair 50% of my maps are from Temple runs, but then again I'm far from running try. I'm pretty positive that the temple alone could sustain me with red maps to run. |

map drops in 3.3 standard are broken, never seen such low drop rates. T16 maps have gone up to 60c each. very telling

" Because drops are balance for Incursions.... No one cares about standard "trashheap". IGN: MortalKombat

" you are were wrong basing your judgment on the chaos > t16 ratio this league chaos simply arent worth much compared to past leagues. you get so much currency and stuff for chaosrecipe from tempel that chaos have droped that much in value. check the ratios to fusings alts etc they show the same thing. |

If your only goal is to sustain maps then Do medium tier maps, (8-10) that easily sustain, until you have 3 incursions remaining. Then do 3 T15 maps and temple will be ilvl 82-83. Full clear that temple and repeat. I have had 0 problems sustaining high tier maps and I am selling a lot of t16 maps this way.
There are 2 reasons maps sell for a lot this league. The massive loot pinjatas from incursions make chaos recipe very accessible for all players so people have plenty of chaos. Second reason is a LOT more players are in need of high tier maps due to popular "newbie" builds (post buff) are able to clear them with very little investment. Inexperienced players that don't know the tricks to sustain higher tier maps end up buying them and the prices go up. These players also then want to get Watcher's eyes from uber elder and the uber elder farmers have lots more currency to burn on buying shaper sets for repeat kills. Add in that the league set a new record in active players and you have yourself a spiral in the top end prices. |

" What does that have to do with standard? incursions drop rate has no impact there. |

" I'm pretty sure the drop rates for the entire game are balanced around the current league mechanic, and the entire game does include Standard. So yes, Incursion does affect the drop rates in Standard and that includes map drop rates. Remember, GGG wants people engaged in the league and not so much on Standard, so leaving Standard's rates effectively lower than the league's will tend to nudge at least some players towards playing the league. Though maybe there's some "balance" in the form of Standard characters having more wealth and thus ability to clear faster or otherwise be better, but power creep through league items could probably counter that.
