Not enjoying the quest for the Uber Elder

I've been playing in standard non-stop ever since bestiary started. I was 8/15 fragments at the beginning, as of today I'm 12/15. This is not something good for your playerbase GGG, and I have a simple solution for this system. Introduce an orb as rare as exalted that would force spawn elder on a selected map. Call it Granny Pheromone Atlas Orb or something like that.

I really hope GGG will consider changing this mechanic.

The atlas has gone from a tool to customize your endgame experience into something you can enjoy to a series of cancerous chores you need to complete to get your measly, uninteresting amount of sextants.

This is exactly what happened to me.

Not that I was tired of grinding, but I didn't even TRY to grind it.(or want to try)

Just look at how it works spikes my BP and I want to grow old with Zana.

I am a very challenge hungry player and I try to always do crazy challenging shit but Uber Elder is just so sooo soooooooo bad RNG gating that as long as it's at the current state, I'll probably never do it. I am definitely not the only one. Honestly I feel that Uber Elder at it's current state has made the game worse, not better.

It took me 35 elder/guardians kills to get all 15. 7 full cycles. Maybe I was lucky, but it's not that bad. And I didn't buy anything. With help of 820 it could be doable in a day.

Did they design this during Harbinger league when we had lots of harbinger and horizon orbs? Because then this whole charade would make sense if we were still in that league with lots of self-made harbinger orbs. In fact I would enjoy chasing uber elder down if I could make my own maps (and beachheads!) like I could in Harbinger league. But no, we have a crappy watered-down version of it through Zana 8.

Edit: as of this post there are zero harbinger orbs up for trade in BSC.

I gave up after 15 cycles. And that is EXACTLY the problem. You will see it done based on RNG alone. That is just plain bad.

And I don't understand the rest of your statement. You must spawn Elder 15 fragment yourself, will not get it any other way. Or anything essential that I have missed?
