Not enjoying the quest for the Uber Elder

Pre-face: I'm not a streamer and I mostly play solo, i.e. no people feeding me maps here. However, I play a LOT when a new league is released. My character in the Bestiary league has over 6 days /PLAYED in a league that's not even 14 days old.

I spent the first week working my way through the Atlas, leveling and upgrading my gear in the process. That's fine and perfectly normal. But what has been going on in the last several days is NOT FINE.

The Zana quest. I got the fragments 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 10 13 in that order quickly, just like the Wiki lists them (btw WHY are they given in that weird order?). But then... The rest of the quest requires spawning Elder + Guardians in the red tiers, repeatedly, at least 3-4 times. The final fragment can only be obtained by spawning the Elder himself in T15, and only in your own Atlas, so you can't even share/group for this.

It was totally retarded in 3.1, I never got the 15th fragment in the whole league. But it wasn't important then either. Now in 3.2 the Elder is more likely to choose the top tiers, but it's still bad. You still have to obtain a boat load of red tier maps to spawn him even using the best strategy (the Bog choke point etc). 20-30 red maps PER TRY. And you have to go through it if you want to see the Uber Elder.

That costs a fortune in the first weeks of a new league. I have 145/157 Atlas bonus and I run my maps with IIQ + pack size > 100, like this:

Still, I have to buy at least half of the maps required for the Elder hunt because the drops are too random and I often don't have the exact map that has to be run next.

So, after this much time in a new league and 5 red Elders, I'm still lacking the final memory fragment and can't even proceed to the final part of the quest, let alone try the new uber boss.

This is too long of a grind to even attempt the new 'hardest fight in the game'. It takes way too much time and currency. What's your design intent here? Is it supposed to take a month for an average player to unlock this encounter or something?

Make it shorter. Make obtaining the final fragments easier. The difficulty should be in the fight, not in unlocking it.

At this point I want to meet whoever designed this and punch him in his fucking face. I don't care how many 'hours of PoE experience' you people have over there, you fail. You created content so gated that almost nobody is going to experience it.

Got mine today it was not a pleasant thing to do.

When you can do anything in the game every single piece of it yet RNG blocks you from doing the next piece when you know you can do it is not a good design.

It's stupid.

I hate you so much right now, GGG. Screw your new uber boss and screw you for making me hate the game I used to love. The worst league ever.

More and more i'm convinced that GGG only caters to the 1% of players they consider "whales" and that's it. They don't care about casual players, people with jobs or children, they literally don't care. You won't get forum feedback from the devs on important issues or extended threads that go on for pages. They won't deal with it, they just don't care, its that easy.

To be honest seems like they asked how they could make people quit faster tham 2 weeks into the league

this mechanic sucks, very poorly programmed, you depend on RNG to play the end game of the game. DO NOT HAVE THE MINIMAL SENSE IN THIS! I already made more than 10 elders trying to get the last shaper orb, always putting 3 t15 with influence and still could not. Aside from this being the worst league with the worst and most buggy mechanic, you have to depend on RNG to do the endgame! Congratulations GGG, it makes a lot of sense of what you did. Why not leave as it was before?? It was much simple and it made a lot more sense to get the shaper orb, now get that shit to depend on RNG. Wrorst league ever.
