Let me FUCKING PLAY YOU STUPID GAME.

Yeah Fuck this I'm out until this game can actually run without an ssd dedicated to it.

It looks like shit anyway, no excuse for this performance.

Expecting newer updating games to work on aging slow hardware is just weird. Give in and buy an SSD, you'll slap yourself for not doing it sooner

fucking long loading screens, fuck this shit! I felt Abyss was smooth and loading screens were finally shorter but Beastiary is back to stone age.

to get out of stone age I suggest to start using either SSD or ram disc.

Well now, GGG always said they wanted to create an "old school" arpg and they have succeeded including reproducing slow performance like we experienced on old slower computers on modern cpu/gpu hardware. GGG probably thinks it's ok except that is completely opposite of the speed meta (which they coded) over the last couple of years. GGG can't make a smooth performance 21st century arpg using last century "old school" coding. They dug the performance hole they are in extremely deep with having to roll their own game engine and now with high popularity comes server simulation overload and their coding decisions based on financial restrictions/limitations over a decade ago are continuing to hurt us all.

I seriously doubt that GGG can code themselves out of this problem. At some point in time they will need to make a PoE II or eventually die so then they can use a modern commercial game engine that is coded for optimal multi-tasking cpu/gpu performance. Until then we're all lagging.

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

I use to get exception errors constantly myself. Aftering switching to directx 11 and unchecking dynamic resolution and post processing in the graphics settings the errors stopped. Hope this helps.

I’ve never once had a problem running this game. However that would be due to the rig. I feels for you all, however go RAM, go SSD, get a decent Ethernet connection on your rig (I run Killer) not the pos nic that is part of the MoBo. Lastly put some money into a decent graphics card. I get 200 FPS, and 1.5 ms, not a glitch nor stutter because of investment in the thing I love doing.

If you like gaming, then pony up and get a decent rig. If you can’t afford one, suck it up till you have a job that can afford one. That’s what I did for 10 years playing games on a potato until I could get very decent setup.

Nearly every one of these threads is due to running the game on higher settings than your machine can handle or running the game on a machine that has no business running the game. When you see this game running on high candy on a curved widescreen then you can appreciate everything that’s packed in there, and I’m glad that high specs give amazing results because remember D2 was 480 out of the box. And that was high setting.

I sit next to my son who run PoE on an older box who has ALL these problems, and thank god for some of the help on the forums, because it’s fine tuned the game to playable. But it’s certainly damn well not optimal. It tricks out like I_NO has SS’s of, it dies, it lags, it crashes, just plain freezes, it’s a god damn mess. However on my rig playing right next to him. Not a care in the world. Smooth as silk and shiny as a diamond. So I can confidently say, it’s not the game. It’s not the servers. It’s not Jesus. It’s something not up to spec in your rig.

I got three of these in one day.
Took off all the MTX I had and re-enabled them 1-by-1.
For me the orange portal effect was giving me issues.

It is the game and the servers. I personally don't have these issues at all as well because I have a top computer but in nowadays gaming you cannot feed only the richest and the ones who have the best computers. Obviously they're trying to grasp the whole population but are failing at it.

Regarding servers, their server side calculations are obviously poor and not well optimized, that is why you see so many server crashes and lags. Poor calculations is also the reason why a lot of spells and AOE has got nerfed.
I believe it takes only 1 bot farmer with extensive knowledge on what skills to use and what settings to apply to crash the server.

Most common solution from poe players, yeah guys just spend over $1000 on your pc and you will be fine, fuck all your other monetary responsibilities.

Game will not grow like this, it can't grow like this.
