[3.X] SPECTRAL SHIELD THROW DeadEye (100% phys and 90% ELE. 1,5-2M DPS REALISTIC GEAR non-crit!)

I've lvled this build up to lvl 72 with good gear and here's what i can say: the most unpleasant experience in both lvling and boss killing :/ As i read through all threads on SST builds, this skill is just weak comparing to any other that is ment to be used as a main skill. Sure you can invest lots of currency for top notch uniques but it will still give 1/10 dmg/clear speed comparing to most other skills with such investments.

TLDR: weak skill gem as of now. hope to see GGG changing it's mechanics. 26k dps before maps and it's weaker than any other skill due to bad mechanics (aoe) and actual low dps.

TBH the only thing Tailwind changes in stat sheet is Evasion rating. I don't even see attack rate changing or anything else. But in PoB it does change when you use more than 1 skill.

The tailwind effects, other than evasion, as you said, aren't shown anywhere in-game as far as I know but you can see the "speedup" if you use SST in hideout or during mapping with all other procs(CWDT, etc) disabled.

PoB config doesn't state it has to be different skills, just amount of skills used "recently"
After checking pob, I assume this build isn't very good.

The tree looks like a nightmare for leveling

Projectile Weakness seems odd.
Ele build and no Wise Oak?
Slower Projectiles>Maim.

I have my doubts this build is worth the currency investment needed.

Well, i barely had time to play but levelled to 76 without a single problem so far and it was super fast.
Projectile Weakness is one of the biggest dps multipliers, much more than PEN.
Wise Oak is not bad, but just 2.6% dps increase according to PoB, which is worthless.

Gathering Winds = 10% increased effect fo Tailwind for EACH skill you used recently. I think it's pretty safe to assume that EACH SKILL = different skill otherwise it would be insane buff if you could spam whirling blades at 6 APS and get 24 stacks...

Really liking this build. Just hit 82, with mostly life and jewel nodes left. I'm using Lioneye's Vision for extra damage (and because I got one and 6-linked it and still no Belly :)) Just wondering what nodes you'd pick up if you got a few more levels past the tree you posted.

I would grab last life node over Heart of the Warrior and then maybe Fangs of Frost. Fangs of Frost actually is a decent DPS boost, comparable to Primevil Force.

You can see the increase in speed with just a single skill spam in-game from animations, I don't think we're getting any other confirmations until GGG explains the mechanic or they implement it so that it actually updates our character sheet in-game when Tailwind is up and stacking.

As for stacking with 6 APS WB, tailwind has a max stack of 10 for an extra 100% effect(20% faster in total), so you can't get 24 stacks which makes the ascendancy reasonable.

If it really was 10 different skills, the ascendancy would average at best.

And even PoB isn't 100% sure on the implementation of Tailwind, since in config you can set to "10 attacks used recently" which will increase your dps but then just untick "Do you have tailwind" - this won't affect your dps at all, which is weird since then, according to PoB itself, we lose the "10% faster".
How do you handle Atziri with this build, we can get rid of 2 chains changing gear. Do you respec to remove chain from the tree ?
