I'm really liking the looks of this. This might well be my starter. I feel like it's a bit of a risk since the damage doesn't look super high, but I'm willing to try it. Hopefully none of these uniques will be expensive.

Phys is 130k per base and ele = 200k (170k without Elemental Overloard which is still questionable).
Not bad i would say. Also it will be 30% more damage for 1 boss on phys build and 40% more damage on ele build. So around 250-300k for boss on 0 quality gems.

How do you feel about pathing to the socket above Herbalism and socketing a Cold Steel gem? It feels like it'd be a solid DPS increase for only 2 points.

PoB seems to suggest it's worth ~8k DPS.
made this one as my starter in bestiary....it's painfully slow to level with, but after taking tailwind in normal lab (at lvl 37) the char starts to speed up and tankier making the levelling process bearable...i suggest to level with other skills such as frost blade for this one until we can use higher shield bases for higher base damage to scale with...and also shields tend to "explode" as it hit on walls, so maybe we can find a way to incorporate frost wall with it making the projectiles shotgun to help with single target during bosses

Oak gives around 3% more damage while KILL ALL -2 level requirement to reach end-game nodes. I would go will passives

I am 50/50 right now on the build. While I really enjoy the playstyle it seems to have really low dps no matter what I do. The main problem is scaling to be honest. There is just not really much in the way of scaling available. I mean with a full conversion build it does fairly decent, but still just falls a bit behind. That said it is the most fun I have had on a build in a long time. The gameplay on it just feels really nice. I mean sure TS or barrage might be better damage but they just don't feel near as nice to use.
