These are people who decide upon what human they would kill or let live in order to reap a benefit. There isnt much that eould give them pause.

We already kill gods of nature and animals specifically for quests.

Turning them to special items by keeping them alive a while longer isnt that crazy.

It's very easy for me, unlike "you" the people calling out "PETA" or "ANTI-PETA" i try to understand the position of the people who enjoy the lore and "role" play with it in mind.

I don't personally have any issues with this league, but i'm not stupid so i can empathize with the people who are conflicted from a lore perspective with this league.

And i can distinguish between the fact that people are claiming "PETA" or "ANIMAL RIGHTS HUR DUR" in relation to the game and people claiming it conflicts with the lore and how some characters are portrayed by GGG making this a poor league in that perspective.

I think it's personally acceptable of people to "role play" in an "action role playing game" and then address issue's with a league that doesn't incorporate the lore well.

It's exactly the same as people complaining about end-game that play PoE for that and not for the role-playing expect.

And i do those people the same favor of empathizing with their position to understand them and then formulate my opinion.

Resorting to putting words in my mouth or attributing thoughts to me?

Sad day for you. I havent said shit about PETA or anything. Just using some logic to justify whats being done in the actual game.

Im not going to empathize for randos especially when we already justify murder and unique animal killing already in the game. Complaining about pixelated violence, sex, torture, anything, is so mind numbingly stupid for any reason. Seriously, people are so coddled theyve never known a thing worth complaining over if this is worth their energy.

What is real however is the attempt to vilify me or attribute to me things i didnt purport or even say just to get some personal moral high ground with which to argue from. Not only is it funny it is utterly pathetic.

I guess i should expect this behavior from morons on the web who dont understand fun...

Your character is thaumaturgist who want more and more power. He killed literally thousands of monsters and humans (oriathian templars and kitava cultists are still humans just "evil"). I don't have a huge problem with Bestiary, will still totally play it, it's just a preference. IMO it's an unattractive premise and something like bounty hunting instead, would be a lot more fun.

No i would not. You know why? Because when I CHOOSE what game play i seek for those which will provide me FUN and enjoyfull experience. There are TONS of games i dont like but i dont play them and definetly i dont go for their forum and brag about how their games is wrong or damaged.

EVERY player chooses his games and play what he/she likes. SO if You feel offended by PoE Bestiary then dont play. But do not try to force Your damaged wordview onto others and especially dont try to force any sort of censorship because "You feel offended".

I love animals and I'm a total tree hugger irl. Not to the extreme of being strictly vegan or being part of some organisation like PETA, but a sincere love for all living things in the natural world, including people.

I don't have any trouble at all with this league and I will not with any league in the future. I hear you wonder "But Bart, how can you know that already? Are you Morpheus?"

This life is not the Matrix, but this game is a simulation. It presents art without boundaries, as art should be. Free of all morality, as art is pure, it is a medium and should not define the artist. In this specific case, the art is a dark world filled with death, gore, betrayal and corruption.

My mom once asked me how such a gentle person like me could enjoy such a dark game? The answer is quite simple: I seperate reality and fantasy. I also don't let the fantasy that I enjoy define me. I enjoy watching Dexter, but I don't go out acting like a serial killer. The show touches on many feelings we've all had of twisted justice at some point in our lives, that makes it relevant.

If you successfully seperate what you enjoy in a fantasy setting, from what you are and do in the real world, you will find that you're able to enjoy a great many more things in life.
Extremists are the real issue here, and it doesn't matter on which side of the table they sit. We all have a dark side, it is up to you to decide what you do with it.

It's actually pretty disturbing, but there have been researches in the past that suggest that at least 5% of the human population falls into the category of "psychopath". You'd think to yourself that's way too large a number, there aren't that many serial killers in the world, thank goodness!

But not every psychopath is Jack the Ripper. There are certain traits to a personality, like a lack of empathy, huge ego, often extreme composure, high intelligence and personal ambition, that help indicate what end of the spectrum a personality falls into. Many corporate bosses fall into this group of 5%, yet they're far from crazy killers, aren't they? They get to their position, because they have the traits it would require to make certain choices in life and live with them. They're not bad people at all, just different.

Someone like me would never rise to such a position, but I also don't feel like it, it wouldn't make me happy at all. Money, fame, titles, don't mean much to me. I have other goals in life. Goals that are in line with the kind of person I am. I'm glad that there are different kinds of people in the world, as it requires each kind to successfully run it.
