In Content Update 3.2.0, the Herald of Ash Skill Gem will work on spells.

Honestly? That looks seriously freaking busted for any physical spell. EK Chieftain meta?

Hrmmm, now I was to try a Avatar of Fire Glacial Cascade build with Herald of Ash.
