Revamped Ascendancy Class Reveal: Slayer

at least give bane of legends 3% chance to get onslaught on hit
they're completely useless in boss fight, oh right 20% instant kill lol
1- Get Tidebreaker or a good phys damage rare mace
2- Invest in Stun and damage
3- Get Impact, Overwhelm and Bane of Legends
4- Use Heavy Strike as main skill
5- Get two Weight of the Empire

Lots of stun, lots of damage, 100% damage splash.

Yeah, Slayer is alive

Meh......Overall is still the same as before, nothing make it unique, still a no-brain class as before.
Slayer is the most basic ascendancy class which can be easily found in any other game, which named "warrior" or "beserker" or something similar
Good my Slayer is one character I won't have to change at all.

Looks like a cool caster toon.
This is pretty much a straight up nerf. You don't really lose any power with builds that ran the top 4 major nodes other than stun immunity. Just increased opportunity cost for the good nodes makes the 2 point branches seem less viable/accessible.
Overall, just a bit more awkward than before, slightly nerfed for any build I have in mind. A bit disappointing compared to the major reworks some other ascendancies got.

I think the previous nerf to max leech rate on Brutal Fervour was much more significant though. Slayer leech just isn't the same without it.

The only reason I'd go for the stun nodes would be for a stun lock build, and because the the extra stun duration only takes effect after a stun is confirmed, it's not that reliable. A decent chunk of stun threshold reduction would have been better.

Impact is the least attractive of the nodes to me. When clearing I'm going to be using a proper AoE skill anyway, and for bosses I don't care much about the melee splash. Even with my current Doomsower Infernal Blow slayer, I'm not using Impact. The new layout makes it not an option.
Wait, was it always phys reflection immune or was it only 50%? I could have sworn it used to be 50% at the end of the path. Now we can get it from the first lab run, and it makes us immune to reflection forever?

Does that mean.. no more Even moving with Atziri? Like, who cares if you hit the mirror one, you take nothing back?

That's... actually pretty awesome.

Yes, you are now Physical reflect immune. You can now do Phys reflect maps without dying. Or beat up Atziri if you are pure physical.
