Revamped Ascendancy Class Reveal: Slayer

Well,seems like them nodes aren't a no-brainer picks anymore.Possible loss of brutal fervor or bane of legends will definitely hurt the "slayer feeling". A slight nerf indeed.
I really wish they'd have changed that overkill leach into something else or alter it in some way so it was not completely negated by Culling almost all the time. Overkill leech was stupid even when it worked, and it's in a ascendancy where another path just makes it not work :/

Culling doesn't negate Overkill Leech; you only Cull enemies that you would otherwise not kill at all. Overkill Leech creates incredibly long-lasting Leech Effects by Critting a white monster for seventeen times its Life.
So we lost stun immunity but gained 5% AoE and 30% DMG while leeching, nice.
So every ascendancy gets hard buff and this one gets a nerf? Seems legit ^^
Looks like noone will play it on HC anymore
Sooo, if I have this right, cyclone, is not really affected by the changes, right?

Yeah, you are still stun immune while cycloning so no big deal. Since you build life it is harder to get stunned outside cyclone, but still it could make a difference. For anything else that is not cyclone slayer is questionable although you could still pick unwavering stance in the tree.

I honestly don't understand these changes. Players who took both 4-point paths will continue to do so with minimal changes. Players who actually wanted Impact or Overwhelm, however, now have to contend with massive nerfs by being unable to reach both endless leech and 20% cull. In a vacuum, it's perfectly understandable to put the most powerful effects at the end of those paths, but if the goal was to incentivize players to consider the 2-point paths, this will very strongly do the opposite.
