We damage in two ways:
1. Damage from Scorching ray totems which stack, but the maximum buff on the enemy is always 8. Which means the enemy has -24% fire resistance from debuffs caused by scorching ray. Scorching ray has 8 stages, so the longer in place the totem stays while casting, the more damage it causes. 2. Damage from Righteous Fire, this one is obvious. It is excellent for clearing, you just walk through enemy packs. 3. Elemental Equilibrium, Orb of Storms and Elemental Overload: Orb of storms is vital because it does 2 things: - It places The Elemenetal Equilibrium debuff on the enemy making them loss fire resistance - Triggers Elemental Overload when it crits for 40% more damage 4. Why not pick Ancestral Bond? If we do, we will do less damage. Because we won't be triggering Elemenetal equiblirum as our self cast skills will do no damage. UPDATED Leveling guide Level 1-54 Tree

1. Use Lightning tendrils, orb of storms, fire storms until you can use reach lvl 28-30 and use flameblast totems. Or you can go Arc totems, ancestral bond and then unspec out of it once you get your first ascendancy.
2. On bosses use a self cast flammability curse. You can link this with arcane surge if you want. 3. Link Orb of Storms with increased critical strikes. If you have a free 4l you can add curse on hit and flammability to this. 4. At level 33+ after getting your first acendancy, link multi totems and scorching ray + spell totems. Dont forget to get Elemental Equilibrium. 5. Make sure you DONT have added fire damage to spells as that will do overall less damage because it willl mess up the Elemental equilbrium from Orb of storms. 6. Level 60-75 Use scorching ray totems or use Balefire till you can get a 6l. Or even a 5 link chest. 7. Level 75+ If you can get a decent regen up, use righteous fire for maximum damage! Get this unique ring and put level 21 Purity of fire in it Get need a higher level purity of fire (level 20 to 21) Add lvl 20 stone Golem in place of combustion Remove controlled destruction from the 6l and add multi totem support That should help a little, make sure your totems are deployed in combat while you high rf on to get 4% life regen. Get Marble Amulet You should aim for +2 gems in shield + lvl 21 purity of fire. If you need more regen, unspec from some totem nodes and go to the Spritual aid cluster left side of the templar tree for %1 regen Checkout my other hardcore oriented build guides here!

I saw your video a few days ago and slap everything together in standard where I already have a six link Lightning Coil. Having so many slots taken up by unique items, not to mention the Delirium gloves will limit the stats from that slot also, the -60 lightning resist from Lightning Coil makes capping your resist very difficult.
I only drop totems against very large packs or against high health monsters and bosses. I mostly charge from pack to pack dropping OoS regularly to proc EE and EO. Is this what you do also? Doing Uber lab is super easy, I just turn off RF when going thru traps. " Thanks for the feedback, you can grab resis nodes from tree or jewels to capp lightning resists. Delirum gloves are optional, if you like take less life nodes as the build already has a lot of life. As you can see a lot of the uniques are replaceable like helmet and belts. Can you explain more in leveling section like what to link with firestorm, or flame blast totem ? It will really helps for people like me, who are new and never played templar.
