Do people want this game as slow as Titan Quest?

When players suggest to slow the game down, what does that mean exactly?

I see a lot of requests to slow the game down but rarely see any kind of description as to what speed they are referring to?

Here is how I would rank speed relative to other ARPGs. I'm ranking based on building for speed clearing and not "average" play.

-- Fast
POE

-- Medium
Diablo 3

-- Slower/Slow
Titan Quest/Grim Dawn

Where do you feel the ideal speed is for POE?

I'd slow it down... but then I'm an old man that remembers playing games by turning in a stack of punch cards and waiting until after lunch to get a printout of the results in the game.
I find it hilarious because years ago, PoE players kept saying "lol D3 is shit it's too fast gameplay" and yet now it's ranked below PoE for speed (and I agree with the ranking). How times have changed.

I much prefer game pace where combat feels like it matters, where 1 shots do not exist, where some strategy other than hold RMB to win is required. Something like Grim Dawn feels better to me. But PoE will never be like that and I've learned to accept it. The A in ARPG is where development is heading.
Movement speed could be capped a bit lower and the popular movement skill(s) could have a slightly higher cooldown.

I don't want to compare this game to d3 or gran turismo since those aren't rpgs.
Go back four years or so in PoE development. There's the ideal speed.

Some do, if they slow it down people will not be as likely to die for "one shots"
Boss mechanics can become more interesting because they are not trying to deal with meta builds cheesing the content in seconds.
AND it would likely have a knock on effect of reducing the amount of people scammed, because most "scams" are from players who are rushing through the trade just like they rush the the game and maps once the game calms down a bit so should most of those players.

Yes.
the issue is the games got faster every patch not that people want it to be slow, its generally assumed now that any skill you use should either clear an entire pack, or the entire screen in a second or less its just unbelievably fast compared to many other games.

Dont think people really want the game to be slow

The problem with the game atm is the lack of Damage challenge

the powercreep is so strong that you steam roll all the content especially white/champion/elite monsters

then GGG's horrible balance skills comes in and instead of reducing players damage to create somewhat of a challenge... they Create monsters with incredible damage and Life that have nothing to do with 99% of the monsters you just encountered and are suppose to reflect the area difficulty in which you are

Exponential monster difficulty within a Same area is just stupid design
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

I doubt the game could actually slow down enough to meet grim dawns speed but at the very least, monsters exist in that game. After they nerfed abyss monsters I didn't really notice them either.

I can't really get past tier 10 maps now because I get so bored since we became way to strong and way to fast for the game to keep up. I haven't really been engaged the past few leagues. Game balance is just to out of whack now for this to ever be fixed.
