" I agree. You shouldn't be able to join the military until you are 21 either. Or you should be able to do all of them at 18. Last edited by Orbitalx#4006 on Jan 30, 2018, 3:35:21 PM

" Did you even look into the bullshit you sprout on about in your posts Mr e-warrior? Legal gambling age is 20, drinking age. Well we don't have one. You can be 8 years old and have a drink, the only legal think in NZ in regards to alcohol is purchasing it. Same goes for most Aussie states. Matt. " Umm, yes surprisingly I did. I'm not sure you did however. You can google "new zealand lotto purchase age" and look at, I dunno, any of the sites that are returned. Anyone can buy a lotto ticket, 16 to buy a Kiwi Lottto - thats gambling right? Or are you just being an ass with your definition of 'gambling' by saying its 20 to walk into a casino? Pretty sure were talking about gambling and not casinos. Get with the topic. As for alcohol, let me quote something from the following NZ Govt website: (http://www.police.govt.nz/advice/drugs-and-alcohol/alcohol-laws-and-penalties) "If you are 18 years or older you can enter any licensed premises and buy and drink alcohol, as long as you can provide acceptable proof of age identification such as a driver licence, Hospitality New Zealand (HANZ) card or passport." Pretty sure this means the legal drinking age is 18. The fact that its not illegal to have a drink with your parents/guardians is irrelevant. Its not illegal for your parents to buy you mystery boxes here either. The argument is that it is illegal for underage players to purchase mystery boxes without consent as this may be considered gambling in some countries around the world. As for 'most Aussie states' please show me where I can go and buy alcohol for an 8 year old? Provision of alcohol to a minor (under 18), with or without the parents or caregivers consent in Australia is illegal. Its criminal neglect and if your caught doing it in a licensed premises I believe its a $2500 on the spot fine plus magistrate time if the cops are in a bad mood. Of course what happens at home, happens at home. How do I know this? I have an RSA (service of alcohol) and an RGA (service of Gambling) certificate for NSW, which happens to be a state of Australia when I worked behind the bar of a club whilst at Uni. Oh, that and living in the country for the last 47 years. My whole point Mr "Cant be fucked actually UNDERSTANDING whats written" is that posting views that interpret the 'law' as applying to 'everyone' on the web is a highly geocentric viewpoint, and that these views cant be applied globally because laws are different in each country. Understand my point now???? Matt. There are 10 types of people. Those that know binary, and those that dont.

" I love this game and I love GGG for providing it to us. A lot of people praise GGG as one of the few ethical free to play game developers out there with ethical microtransactions. I think that would be true if they didn't offer gambling boxes. I would love to agree with people about them being the most ethical gaming company but it just isn't true anymore with them selling gambling boxes. On the other hand, they do have to make money in order to provide this wonderful game to us. If they go broke because they don't sell loot boxes, I think that would also suck. I think GGG has a few options. 1) Keep selling gambling boxes but don't claim to be a super ethical gaming company anymore. 2) Stop selling gambling boxes and you can claim to be the most ethical free to play gaming company again. This could have the major downside that they don't make enough money to offer as much to us as they do. |
