" One of my favorite memories of watching a movie (different from a favorite movie itself). It pops back into memory at the oddest times, and to this day I’ll occasionally try to compel a friend to sleep when they annoy me. Funny, The Matrix was in full discussion a few pages back, and I’d never really thought about how similar the two are. The first thing I thought when I saw “Dark City” in this thread was “ah, yes, the original Matrix.” I had to check to be sure it did indeed predate the Matrix, and lo, it appears I’m not alone—they are similar.
