About playing on predictive.
It might be solution but when I generate instance that is laggy my character go back 2 screans back and then die ... so no ty i rathen dont play. My mail to support what the same: "Sorry too busy..." I have no lags in any other game, talking to my provider and they say they dont see problem with my line. I think its something with PoE servers, but cant be sure. Maybe when i buy supporter pack maybe i get some support :D But for now I just play other games. |

A little update on my situation.
So I switched to predictive as I said, much better and smooth for "small' latency spikes that were causing the image to stutter. For "medium" latency spikes, I do get some desyncs and rollbacks from time to time. Still have the same issue with instances with and without the problem. However, it seems that it greatly depends on the hour when I play. For example saturday morning was perfectly fine, whereas all nights during the week I encountered the problem. So maybe the problem only happens when servers are quite loaded. I won't be able to play for one week so I'll see in january if the problem is still here ! |

I'm getting the same issue and it's basically stopped me playing this league. I wanted to play Flicker and flicker on predictive is terrible. As soon as I lag, which is all the time thanks to this bug, I don't damage a pack and then have no mana and die since i'm not leaching life anymore.
I emailed support and it took them over a week to respond to say that they are too busy... I'll paste below what I emailed over to them along with the WinMTR logs. ------------ Good Afternoon, I'm writing to you just now to see if you can help identify some odd behavior myself and my partner are getting in game. I've attached the dxdiag for my system, my partners system is an i7 6700k with 16GB RAM, a GTX1060 and PoE is installed via steam onto a Samsung Evo SSD. I'm running the standalone client installed onto a SSD Raid 0 array and I've disabled SLi and any in game overlays that might be impacting performance etc. When we are both in game we use Lockstep mode usually as our Internet connection is very good due to where we live. We get an extremely stable 9.2MB/s download and around 2MB/s upload (Megabytes, not bit). I've not noticed any latency issues in any other applications or sites such as google in WinMTR. I've attached a screenshot of my latency/fps graphs which indicate the issue is not tied to framerate whilst on lockstep mode. I've also attached WinMTR results which show some packet loss to the london gateway which is probably causing some smaller spikes but I still get this issue regardless of which gateway I connect to and those do not show any packet loss. When we join an instance the latency either stays rock-solid at either 27ms or 33ms depending on V-Sync or has spikes all over the place; it stays like this until we leave the area and create a new instance or rejoin the old one after a minute or so. Indeed what is even more strange is that both my partner and I can be in the same instance/area in game and only one of us will exhibit the latency spikes while the other is perfectly fine. We've also seen instances where we are both stuttering from the latency spikes and we leave the area and rejoin a minute or two later and the latency spikes have cleared completely. I seen another post this morning indicating someone had the same issue and they managed to work around this by force-joining/creating instances via ctrl+click but I've not been able to extensively test this as the hideout and map device don't use this system. Although I have, 3 or 4 times now, tested this by joining a town and when it lags coming out and force joining that specific instance and the lag is cleared. I've also tried two different routers on our connection at home and we are on a Dynamic IP from our ISP and switching this doesn't seem to change anything either. We are currently on a public IP of [REDACTED] and our account names are Korgath & [REDACTED] I'm wondering if you would be able to help with this, it has been happening now for more than a month and I can't play my current build on predictive with the lag as Flicker will not damage any mobs and cause me to run out of mana and get me killed :( - This is the main game we both play but we are really struggling to enjoy it when we have to go in and out of maps and waste portals constantly just so we can get an instance with decent latency. Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks. ------------------ WinMTR to google |------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | WinMTR statistics | | Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | |------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | dsldevice.lan - 0 | 409 | 409 | 0 | 1 | 6 | 1 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | be3-3100.pcn-ir01.plus.net - 0 | 409 | 409 | 19 | 20 | 43 | 22 | | core1-BE1.colindale.ukcore.bt.net - 9 | 310 | 285 | 19 | 20 | 52 | 20 | | 195.99.127.81 - 0 | 409 | 409 | 20 | 20 | 32 | 20 | | 195.99.126.133 - 0 | 409 | 409 | 19 | 20 | 36 | 20 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | 108.170.232.98 - 0 | 409 | 409 | 21 | 24 | 173 | 22 | | 108.170.246.175 - 0 | 409 | 409 | 20 | 21 | 37 | 20 | | 216.239.57.237 - 0 | 409 | 409 | 21 | 29 | 58 | 22 | | 209.85.255.212 - 0 | 409 | 409 | 30 | 31 | 48 | 30 | | 209.85.248.132 - 0 | 409 | 409 | 29 | 30 | 45 | 36 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 82 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | dh-in-f105.1e100.net - 0 | 409 | 409 | 30 | 30 | 51 | 31 | |________________________________________________|______|______|______|______|______|______| WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider WinMTR to FRA gateway |------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | WinMTR statistics | | Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | |------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | dsldevice.lan - 0 | 362 | 362 | 0 | 1 | 14 | 1 | | No response from host - 100 | 73 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 73 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | be3-3102.pcn-ir02.plus.net - 0 | 362 | 362 | 20 | 20 | 44 | 20 | | 195.99.125.140 - 0 | 362 | 362 | 20 | 20 | 30 | 20 | | 195.99.127.83 - 0 | 362 | 362 | 20 | 21 | 32 | 21 | | t2c3-et-7-3-0-0.uk-lon1.eu.bt.net - 11 | 255 | 228 | 21 | 21 | 38 | 21 | | No response from host - 100 | 73 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | ae5.cbs01.tg01.lon01.networklayer.com - 52 | 119 | 58 | 21 | 22 | 45 | 21 | | ae0.cbs01.xn01.fra01.networklayer.com - 0 | 362 | 362 | 35 | 36 | 48 | 36 | | ae15.dar01.fra02.networklayer.com - 0 | 362 | 362 | 35 | 36 | 78 | 35 | | po1.fcr01b.fra02.networklayer.com - 0 | 362 | 362 | 35 | 36 | 58 | 36 | | c4.52.7a9f.ip4.static.sl-reverse.com - 0 | 362 | 362 | 37 | 37 | 52 | 38 | |________________________________________________|______|______|______|______|______|______| WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider WinMTR to London gateway |------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | WinMTR statistics | | Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | |------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | dsldevice.lan - 0 | 504 | 504 | 0 | 0 | 5 | 1 | | No response from host - 100 | 101 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 101 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | be3-3100.pcn-ir01.plus.net - 0 | 504 | 504 | 19 | 20 | 37 | 22 | | core1-BE1.colindale.ukcore.bt.net - 0 | 504 | 504 | 19 | 20 | 26 | 19 | | peer1-hu0-19-0-0.slough.ukcore.bt.net - 0 | 504 | 504 | 20 | 21 | 31 | 21 | | No response from host - 100 | 101 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | po112.net1.north.dc5.as20860.net - 0 | 504 | 504 | 22 | 29 | 365 | 23 | | 1717.g1.1ug.dc5.as20860.net - 6 | 417 | 395 | 22 | 24 | 85 | 23 | | 109.169.19.133 - 7 | 401 | 375 | 21 | 21 | 34 | 22 | |________________________________________________|______|______|______|______|______|______| WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider I also recorded a video of it happening and you can see that here > https://youtu.be/f5r5xaGqqTU I love both the new Abyss packs that got released by neither myself nor my partner will be spending another dollar on this until this is either fixed or we have some feedback on it. So GGG tech support emailed me back asking for winMTR even though I provided them winMTR already by linking them this thread.
The ironic thing is that they linked me to a thread in order to show me how to do a winMTR but seem incapable of clicking on a linked thread themselves. It was rather frustrating to say the least. I simply re-linked my thread and invited them to look at the winMTR there so let's see where this goes from here. |

Well at leest then answer with something else then " Sry 2 busy "
For me I buy VPN and for now problem solved ... |

Bumping this again.
Still getting the same issues. Sometimes joining an instance gives terrible latency issues, sometimes it doesn't. Isn't connected to any particular gateway and rejoining existing instances can resolve it. |
![]() |
So I done a bit more digging into this after reviewing the client log file..
I joined a bunch of instances and noted down IP addresses. I was looking to see if the lag was only happening when joining certain instances being hosted by certain IP's. It took a while but I got a list and found that I had a few listed that were both laggy and not laggy on separate occasions. So whatever it is the issue doesn't seem to be tied to solely IP. I then ran Wireshark on the tcp streams and set a filter for all traffic between my machine and the instances IP address. In game when I wasn't lagging the stream was flawless, absolutely perfect. When the latency in game was spiking the stream was full of errors such as "tcp previous segment not captured" followed by a few duplicate ACK's and a TCP retransmission. So seeing that I hit up WinMTR again and done another few tests. I found an IP of 78.129.153.32 that I had joined and the instance was insanely laggy with latency spikes all over the place. I started WinMTR and a continuous ping in a cmd window to monitor it. |------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | WinMTR statistics | | Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | |------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | dsldevice.lan - 0 | 569 | 569 | 0 | 1 | 13 | 1 | | No response from host - 100 | 114 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 114 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | be3-3100.pcn-ir01.plus.net - 0 | 569 | 569 | 20 | 21 | 70 | 21 | | core1-BE1.colindale.ukcore.bt.net - 0 | 569 | 569 | 20 | 21 | 68 | 21 | | peer1-hu0-19-0-2.slough.ukcore.bt.net - 0 | 569 | 569 | 22 | 22 | 69 | 22 | | No response from host - 100 | 114 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | po111.net1.north.dc5.as20860.net - 1 | 565 | 564 | 23 | 26 | 117 | 24 | | 87.117.211.30 - 1 | 565 | 564 | 22 | 26 | 397 | 23 | | 78.129.153.32 - 7 | 450 | 420 | 22 | 22 | 36 | 23 | |________________________________________________|______|______|______|______|______|______| WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider I let the test run for a while and left the town instance (Act 8, Sarn Encampment) and went to The Sarn Ramparts and then ctrl selected the same instance I had just left. I confirmed in the town by looking at the other players that I was in the same town instance I just left and I confirmed in the client log that it was still via the IP 78.129.153.32 but in town my latency was perfect with not a spike to be seen after sitting in town for several minutes. What was really interesting however is that while I was sitting in town without a single latency spike WinMTR and my cmd ping test were still getting approx 7% packet loss.. GGG... help :( |
