How is a six link worth its time

It takes you like 750 hours to get one

If you worked instead you could make 9375$ at 12.50 per hour

Seems damn worth it huh

The only thing that bothers me about the cost is spam clicking items that many times, they need a way to spend multiple at a time, same with buying currency at the vendor.

Making players spam click things over 1k times is beyond retarded.

Lazy people use macro clickers or temporarily rebind mouse 1 onto mouse wheel and just spin the lotto.
80% of PoE population never had 1000 fuses at one time, so I don't see this as a problem.

Hint: You need to actually use fusing to 6link something.

I think the cost is more or less appropriate to the "special" nature of 6L items.

The iron rule is :

If you can afford to "gamble" the fusings away, use them manually. If you hit 5L and the base item is re-obtainable, re-sell and start from scratch.
Never craft item you absolutely need to wear.
You need to be able to suck it up in case you hit a wrong end of the curve.

Otherwise, save up and use Vorici.



My personal record is 3 orbs of fusing to 6 link.
Long time average is about 1400 fusings for me.

For some reason, I was always pretty lucky for 6 linking. To actually chrome the colors I want, that is a different story altogether... No "six"

0.1% chance to get 6L means about 36% chance to not get a 6L after 1000 tries and 22% after 1500. If 78% chance is enough for you, then go ahead. I'm personally much more content with using the guarantee from Vorici. If I ever wanted to 6L an item manually, anyway. Usually they cost half of the fusing cost when you buy them already 6L, because there are far more 6L than necessary at the current cost for fusings.

In Legacy, I bought a decent (not perfect, but good enough for farming purposes) 6L with ES and resistances for 50 chaos. Recently I've spent 4 ex on a legacy (not legacy legacy) Shavronne's. The only upgrades would be legacy Shav's and +1 Shav's, and you want to make it cheaper?

Yesterday I made about 4-5ex in sales, and I can really be considered a casual in terms of skill and efficiency when it comes to farming, even though I'm steadily improving.

6L is well within reach. Getting a rare item with 6 affixes, let alone top tier, is close to impossible compared to this.

I recently considered making rare corruptions and six-linking the successful ones, but I calculated an estimated cost of about 35-40ex + cost of uncorrupted base items for unsuccessful corruptions, and that's beyond my budget. Things like these have to exist to keep people playing; it'd be boring otherwise.
