Might be hard for me to pass up a horror helm to use it on the kinda build i'd like it for, but I'd definitely have to consider it... namely it'd be nice for my iron will - geofri's - shaper's touch build, which gets tons of mana as a byproduct of high strength + shaper's touch (which i previously didn't have much use for)

um... it doesn't make a difference at all (outside of quality not affecting it), but it's a global bonus, just like any other conditional modifier. You get extra global base armor.

Honestly the only real use I can see in this is maybe some interaction with Eldritch Battery. It gives a nice amount of ES to use as mana, and reserving all of your mana would have no disadvantage when using EB. Except, of course, the fact that EB is shit. Best case it will only be able to grant like maybe 2k to 3k armour, which is alright but certainly not worth wasting a helm slot for an item with low res and no life.

Definitely not a good MoM helm, since most MoM builds want to stack as much mana as possible and use that as a shield. If you reserve all of your mana then MoM is useless. Seems like the type of item that unless it has a 3d art will be forgotten about a week into the new league.

If it had 3d art it'll be sick tho

What if... just saying... there was a wand that produced 1 chaos damage to spells for every 50 armor... or some such thing also being added to the game.

I will just stick to using the Brine crown.

Unfortunately, unless there are some armour reworks forthcoming, this won't live up to its potential.

Hmmm. not sure if I'll use it. Aegis Aurora benefits because I think this will give me 90k armor with a bit of ES loss -300 or so ES out of 9.5k ES on harbringer. It does free up more aura space, since it won't be necessary to run both grace and determination.

I'll have to play around with it more, to see how it does. Definitely worth some experimentation, since it looks like a common unique.
