Charan (clearly) found my statement funny and/or ironic and chose to joke about it. I made a joke back. And also pointed out that I was well aware of how considerable his contribution was, relative to my own (quite meager one).

So yeah, your assessment of that entire interaction is needlessly pejorative, and completely incorrect.

And frankly, you're being incredibly pissy and judgmental (about what I've spent on the game and how I choose to think about it) for someone who's clearly spent a heck of a lot more on the game than I have.

The mtx is priced this way because it is the only income they have to run the servers and pay for further development/customer service etc. F2P MTX-model is based on a large bunch of people not paying for the product where the remaining people are willing to dish in the cash needed to run the show on behalf on themselves and the people that don't pay so that they can look better in-game/to support the devs. The stash tabs acts slightly differently but with a huge amount of character slots available and no limitation to amount of accounts it is quite possible to play this game 100% for free. Sure it might be a bit cumbersome to xfer stuff to alts every now and then but it is still free.

That is also the core of the frustration on the forums when we see people complaining about overpriced mtx. Usually the people complaining have few or none characters in their profile, they have no supporter packs, very late join date and few or none challenges completed in the current league. How are we supposed to react? These are clearly people trying to taint the game we love by starting "drama" for no good reason.

i dont like overpriced mtx but its a free game so i cant complain altho what i seriusly hate and disapointed by is the balancing it all went to shit build veriety is garbage right now compare to what it was and almost all the fun builds are fucked now

This forum has gotten weird. Wonder if it was the Xbox port.

I find it extremely greedy if you want to play a non-p2w game for hundreds of hours for free and can't even pay the low price of a few stash tabs, so these poor devs can eat once a day (or more).

Disclaimer: Am a dev. Developing good software without regular food-intake is difficult.
(Have also been to NZ before. Damn, your food is expensive!)

The stash tabs are fairly reasonable price, by F2p standard, but the cosmetic MTXs, & supporter packs are price pretty rediculous, & many of them are existing assert in the game, or same MTX with different color or effects.

The highest in-game coins you can purchase, can't even paid for most MTxs say it all. GGG relied on 'whales', more so than most f2p games. YOu can google what 'whales' mean, I didn't make this term up. Basically, company that relied on whales, are capitalise on a small minority (the whales) that are willing to spend an absurd amount of moeny on their game.

No one is stpping anyone from spending their money on games. But it is also nothing wrong to point out how overprice MTXs are due to reyling on whales.

I have no problem with spending good money on something I like, & I spend more on PoE than all other games combined for the past 3 years, maybe more, & I play only for like 3 months.

But I wanted quality, & effort in Mtx, not paying for recycle skin of existing MTX, & the price don't justiced the effort most time, Come on, charging full prices for clock of different color. Other games like D3 allow you to do so for free. If I buy a cloak, I should be able to change color without having to pay price of the MTX again for each color. GGG is exploiting the royality of their faithful players, seeing them as whales, thats how I see it.
