Because GGG made sure to buff this already absurdly OP skill even more. Now with 2 Threshold Jewels for extra burst and 20% conversion each, so you don't even need to bother anymore.

I'd actually rather have a threshold jewel for GC that allows it to be 100% physical damage, to be honest. So many ways to convert more of its phys to cold right now.
At least it's not as stupid as frost blades' cold penetration. Bring back race seasons.

Yes, they're obviously introducing these new jewels with the intention of leaving GC unchanged.

Additional bursts only adds more range and the conversion merely opens up a glove slot to get 100%. For that convenience you sacrifice two jewel slots. Some may say that's barely worth it.

Wasn't there an Enchantment that did exactly the same? I wonder what's going to happen to that. In any case, even if GC gets a nerf, I'm sure it'll be more than playable with that jewel. I was unsure what to use as a league starter until now, but this seals the deal unless GC gets an 80% less damage nerf.

where do you get 8 link from?
the extra burst is effectively a range buff the conversion is nice but people already used either physically to lightning, hrimsorrow or tree nodes to convert to cold physical to light adds extra lightning damage, but this one doesn't gc really didn't need a threshold jewel, but let's not exaggerate the impact of this jewel either. |
