A friend of my client nearly died last week due to having to wait for medical care. And yes, he has insurance. Not enough hospitals to accommodate all the people.

Roads are stuffed and no money to build more or widen anymore. Now it takes two hours to travel 4 miles.

You're not. I have a cousin that lives in a very upscale area (used to be) in NY state. They got problems already over there. :( Very sad. This is about as far up north as you can get without going into Canada.

So Trump passed an executive order to stop children from being separated from parents at the border, and the Democrats are already trying to stop the executive order in the courts.

Democrats are also opposing legislation in the Senate to stop separating children from parents, because lead Senate Democrat, Chuck Schumer, says Trump can end separation without legislation, and has promised to stop any legislation that ends children being separated.

Democrats clearly believe the people who vote for them are among the dumbest people on earth.

That's not so much what the Executive Order does so much as that's what it will do. Well, that and deliver a hefty dose of cognitive dissonance to the NeverTrumpers.

As the White House has been saying for a while now, a piece of 1997 immigration law known as the Flores Agreement, aka the Flores Settlement, makes it unfeasible for the government to detain families together without breaking the law. This Executive Order (full text) doesn't change that, and includes the requisite qualifying language to cover the appropriate asses should any part of the Order violate existing law.

It is also the policy of this Administration to maintain family unity, including by detaining alien families together where appropriate and consistent with law and available resources.

The Secretary of Homeland Security (Secretary), shall, to the extent permitted by law and subject to the availability of appropriations, maintain custody of alien families during the pendency of any criminal improper entry or immigration proceedings involving their members.

Bold mine.

Because what Trump's Executive Order aims to do is not currently legal AND it prohibits illegal behavior, as it stands the Order doesn't do very much (except direct Sessions to act to try to reverse the Flores Agreement in court). However, seeing what it aims to do, the NeverTrump media have already begun pointing out that the Order may face court challenges (which it should survive, given its wording).

In other words, this Executive Order is simply "Affording Congress an Opportunity to Address Family Separation" for immediate implementation once signed into law -- hence the title of the Order. Which is, unlike what the fake news will tell you, fully consistent with the Trump narrative since Day One.

Schumer and the Congressional Democrats have now gone full TDS and are actively blocking the only thing that prevents the Department of Homeland Security from keeping families together. It's their own fault the situation at the border is the way it is and this whole drama will result in a Democratic implosion.

Wow! Listening to NPR on way home and these immigrant services houses places (they highlighted Southwest Key corp) are getting 100K per head per year. They house 5000 and get 500 million from tax payers.
