In what ways did it not succeed?
in the fact that people have stoped buying it and the player base them self ON there forums are calling the game out as being a failure.
D3 yes to alot of people was good. the people over here on POE see what a REAL ARPG is and can be. where as D2 and D1 where all way better games D2 being the best of the 3 out of the Dieblo series.
D3 died when thay changed how the game plays. earlyer versions where it was a numbers game.and a proper loot game. yes it was an ok game. not good just ok. but the moment bliz south said " lets give the whiny children what thay want " and started handing everything to the players the game became garbage.
thus. POE became the better game. hell even D2 has a higher player base then D3 and that says alot about the company and the games quality.
woot D3 sold millions. ask your self. how many of them millions where eather returned. or sold or traded in for better games latter and removed from harddrives on consoles and PCs alike ?
fans thought the game was going to be as good as the previus ones. thay where swiftly denyied.
not to mention if you go look at there forums and scrounge around enough in some of the posts. you will see D3 players addmiting and telling other D3 players. that POE is without a dought. the better game
