[3.3] HrimShot - IceShot/Barrage Frenzy Raider (Shaper Down)

Any thoughts on taking Graceful Assault or linking Onslaught Support to Herald of Ice? I'm sure you already have phasing up most of the time but the onslaught buff is pretty sweet on it's own.
You could, but I prefer using Silver Flask for onslaught.
Where is everyone putting the extr stat points?
Hi, which would be the 6th gem in a 6L setup for Ice Shot?

Also would Empower/Faster Attacks/Cold to Fire be good in our 6-links?

And would Poacher's Mark be helpful? Grants us frenzy charge, life and mana.

Hrimburn still work though, right? I mean, the mobs are still being frozen by me, as well as being ignited.
Highest Character: Level 92 86% Block/Static Strike Champion - Abyss League
I get bored of the grind around 90, probably won't ever get a higher character.
I'd try slower projectiles for the 6th link ice shot. Ele focus would give the highest dps, but the chill/freeze is an important part of survivability (plus the damage we get against chilled from the threshold jewel).

Hrimburn works fine.
Sorry for my noob question, why GMP in barrage set up? what's the benefit of converting fully into cold? what if i use phys to light gem instead of gmp on barrage links?

Thanks for your reply. I'm currently not able to freeze, is it because my character is too low level? (level 46 ranger). Also how can I tell if I am chilling enemies?

GMP in barrage because the additional projectiles add a ton of damage (even though each projectile has slightly reduced damage). Base barrage has 3 projectiles, and GMP adds 4 more, meaning without any other additional projectiles, it's basically a 133% MORE multiplier. The downside on GMP is only 26% less per projectile, so in the end we come out way ahead.

Converting fully to cold means we can scale both phys and ele/cold for increase/multipliers. It's not true "double dipping" because the multipliers only apply once, but the pool of multipliers we can use is much larger: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Damage_conversion#Mechanics

Phys to light instead of barrage would be really bad imo - GMP adds a TON of damage, we don't have a lot of +phys damage, and all our penetration/inc ele is targeted for cold, not lightning.

I highly recommend checking out Path of Building (https://github.com/Openarl/PathOfBuilding) if you haven't already, it makes seeing how your dmg numbers change much easier.

Chill is applied on any cold damage (https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Chill). It just slows monsters 0-30% depending on how hard your hit was, so if it takes you a lot of hits to kill monsters, the chill slow may not be as noticable. If one hit is doing >10% of the monsters' HP of cold damage (which should be all of your damage), they'll be max chilled and have a 30% slow. Freeze is much rarer on this build as only crits can proc freeze (our tree doesn't have any +freeze chance), and we try to crit once every 8 seconds in endgame to keep elemental overload up.
