awesome right
I dont see any any key!
How dare people bake a cake?!
They could have ended world hunger, yet they bake a fucking cake? That's OUTRAGEOUS,

seriously what's the problem with a cake?
You realise a lot of these people are Kiwis being proud/thankful for a massive success from their country that hasn't done a lot of interesting things so far when you consider gaming.

Reddit is the worst. Seriously, they baked Chris Wilson a cake for fucks sake. If they could they would meet up and circle jerk eachother and praise every pixel and line of code in this game.

Clearly you've never been to a dev-attended meetup. It's easy to shit on the game from the safety of online anonymity but I've *never* seen anyone verbally attack a dev. They're always polite, critical or otherwise.

Which, of course, is 'white knighting' on here but 'just being a decent fucking human being' in person.

And the cake is a nice gesture, although the image chosen is a bit...cringe-worthy. I doubt they BAKED it. Probably did what I do -- threw money at people to do it for them. Generous, well-meaning PoE players -- who knew?

It probably also has to do with the fact that at this point balance team can easily trump over the players and do w/e the fuck they want. Imagine if Qarl had to present his arguments at a dev-attended meetup concerning for instance the ES changes for 3.0 in front of some of his players and throw his ''We did this because unfortunately everyone was running around with 15-25k es'' . What would his response be when players ask him to provide statistics on this matter?

People ranted on the matter, they got told ''don't worry it's beta, GGG know what they are doing and will adjust if necessary''. Beta is done, no adjustment at all, no response on the matter. Of course people that worked on their builds and saw those getting destroyed will get angry. Being civilized only goes so far as long as you don't get constantly ignored. Should we feel bad for GGG getting attacked constantly attacked over the changes? Not really, they choose to do this even with all the feedback that it will be a bad idea instead of focusing on polishing the game.
Welcome to today's debate culture: Someone has a different opinion? He has to be a white knight! God forbid he just has a different opinion to mine and we actually discuss things. Better go full ad hominem right from the start and even make a forum thread about it.

Same goes vice versa btw.
