" I am currently leveling his. Pick whatever you like at start I did frost blades until sunder then sunder until cyclone. I used wideswing on a 4link which was amazing when I first got cyclone and used this until I got blood reaper then switched gems to my tabula and followed his gen links taking added fire in place of I believe brutality. After reaper I used kaons primacy then will prob use that til atziri. You will start having mana issues but I completely remedied it via theirs torment ring. Cirrently in act 9 and this is the easiest leveling I have ever done I am completely melting everything including bosses. For ascendency I took right 2 first for overleech then left 2 for 20% culling. Will prob take the last right 2 next. Good luck. Oh and tree I pretty much took avenues to all life nodes first and then here and there two handed axe nodes. You will easily do plenty dmg too maps using tabula with a 6link so take survival first. Leveling tips? I used the berserker's leveling tips with this build's tree, as it's the same premise.
My info is from both leveling as this build and pulling his tree/gear/setup and putting it into PoB. (https://pastebin.com/XeZrcuJJ) As far as Daresso's Salute in place of Carnage Heart, if you have the leech and stats to do it, I don't see why it wouldn't work. Carnage Heart, with the culmination of gear and passives, puts you at a ridiculous amount of life leech(~2700 a hit/leech). However, according to PoB, all Daresso's Salute is going to do is +2 your range and give you another 20% over cap on resistances for cold/fire. No additional DPS as per PoB, but it's a program, and not the most accurate of them. Vaal Haaste and Vaal Lightning Trap aren't bad extra options for a keypress dump, seeing as how there's very few active skills in this build (cyclone, leap slam, and pots). And I'd definitely drop fire golem for lightning if you don't have faster attacks. Sidenote : If going with a Sword build (Kondo's or Starforge), I, personally, would go for the sword nodes and just respec those nodes when I got an Atziri's, it's only 13 points, and orbs of regret aren't bank breaking compared to the Axe. *Edited for OCD purposes. **Edited again for the Sidenote. " Hmm.... I find it quite interesting that 60% increase in melee dps while on full life is somehow disregarded by PoB. Another thing, Leap Slam setup with endurance charge on stun would work with higher level CWDT + Immortal Call, like 8-10. Also, vinktar flask with convert (being super cheap now) should be at least considered. Thoughts? There was no great genius without a touch of madness - Seneca (younger)

@DissTurbo : Well beyond my scope of knowledge, as I've only been playing PoE since the day before 3.0. However, the Vinktar could be swapped in for something, I'm sure, I just can't figure out what (aside from the Quicksilver) you'd swap it in for.

" lion's roar is out for me, pushing mobz outside is annoying, distracting and dangerous as you're losing control over cyclone. Also, tested almost max roll carnage heart and it is pretty sweet compared to daresso, damage difference gained from daresso is negligible yet movement speed and aoe is quite noticeable. In conclusion, if you have 6l with aoe gem in place daresso's salute is not really good value for money (currently 250c). There was no great genius without a touch of madness - Seneca (younger)

What about the Ruthless Support? Adding him as 6-linked gives like only 3k~ dmg. Couldn't it be swapped for something like added fire damage supp, which gives like 20k~ more dmg. Or im missing something :?

Swapping the Ruthless out for Added Fire results in a loss of about 50k dps(with all the gear/stats).
There's a long and detailed explanation, but the short of it is that Maim doesn't affect the added fire damage, but will affect the Ruthless blows that go out on the third "spin", and EVERY hit on the third spin is Ruthless. " Well, I do not run this build right now but I think you combine both regen and leech, not just leech to outregen Blood Rage degen. You can pick more regen nodes on tree, use enduring cry regularly (a lot of people forget enduring cry has regen), summon a stone golem (main purpose is life regen), etc. basically what any RF build can show you to outregen their RF degen. |
