Frequent and consistent lag spikes

I'll just mention as well that I'm having the same issue. Tried the Washington, Texas and California gateways and get these constant lag spikes.

For reference - never had any issues in 3.0....
Having the same issues here on the AU realm, game is unplayable since the 3.1 update, before the update I'd been playing solidly for a few weeks after a brief period away from the game, had two people streaming tv in my house, still sat on a perfect 16-17 latency and 60fps, for weeks, except for the occasional 50-80 latency spike during peak hour.

Since 3.1, all times of the day, no streaming content at all, every few seconds I go from 16 latency to 200-400, I'm on a 100MB/s fibre connection and my wireless router has a perfect signal.

Since it only started due to the update, and nothing else is effected, I can only surmise it's something in the 3.1 update causing it. I'll update my drivers asap, and see if that make a difference.
I AM ERROR
Just started for me now. It spikes now like every 2secs and renders the game unplayable. Before i had 2 constant major spikes once every hour or so, not great but was still playable.

As you can see two nodes have around 60% loss. Hope for a quick fix to play again!

You're getting packet loss that's starting on your ISP's end. You'll need to contact them and show them that MTR.

Good luck! :)

Kudos to you for being one of the few in this thread to be proactive enough to bother running that test.
Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.

I have exactly the same problem.
Random spikes from normal 30ms to 250-450 every 5-7 seconds in game for 2-3 seconds.
Can anyone give me instruction how to make tracert to my realm server, paste it in this thread and saw where the problem is?
EU gateways.
Any rest of the online games is going fine,i'm having this laggy spikes issue with POE only, can't enjoy the game at all.

Me too
Here's the data I gathered. IDK if this is the game or my internet. But it was fine launch day and the day after. No just unplayable as I can't run lab or maps, and leveling a new character I get dc'd every minute.

-----------

Auto select gateway (it goes to Wash DC) and Autoselect networking mode (it selects Lockstep)

https://pastebin.com/QaUABVK0

Ran this for like 25 minutes, got DC'd at least 3 times and had many stops and stutters.

Then...

Auto select gateway (Wash DC) and I set it to Predictive.

https://pastebin.com/b54NNfGb

I don't remember if I got dc'd at all (I don't think so) but there were still issues. Then started getting dc'd again soon after.

----------

I'm in Minnesota, U.S.A - Midcontinent Communications.

I've tried reseting my router by unplug for 10 minutes and no change.
I am getting the same.

Live in London and tried different gateways.

Here is my thread and the MTR is in the first post.

https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2039208/page/2

Check with my ISP with the MTR, also ran a BT openreach check with my ISP and there seems to be no issues there.

Also I find it very odd that reloading an instance can clear the lag to zero.

I made a reddit post but it got downvoted.... surprise surprise....

This has only been happening since 3.1.

I have the exact same problem.

lag spikes to about 120'ish ms.. problem is, when looking at my network traffic monitor, there is no spikes on my connection, just a flat line.

i have a 50/20 connection, and this issue is consistent on all servers.

the spikes comes and goes every five minute or so, and last for up to 2 min, then disappears.

anyone else have this issue also?
Anyone know gateways that work without spikes? I'm in the US but I can connect to some EU ones, with 100 ping
