" Oh I misunderstood then. So it's almost certainly better to maximize Attack Speed primarily. And I guess casually having a ton of MS wouldn't hurt (Because of the bonus for reaching max distance) but depending on numbers might be awful (E.g. you move Ghudda-Sonic-fast and generate a total of two attacks across the dsitance) or incredible (You move really goddamn fast and generate just enough aoes to actually hit everything in the way) Why am I wearing a heavy belt if I haven't got any pants?

Does Charged Dash deal attack damage per cluster or DPS per cluster?
Let's say I have 1000 attack damage and 5 aps. Do I deal 1000 damage per CD cluster or 5000? Make

" Doesn't this logic lock you into an ever-increasing spiral of infinite DPS? So if that does 25,000 damage over 5 clusters then your dps is really 25,000 and it should do 125,000 damage so it should do 625,000 damage etc. Why would you think it deals damage based on "DPS"? LIke everything else it will use your attack damage. It already scales your APS into the skill. Why am I wearing a heavy belt if I haven't got any pants? ya it seems like you'll most likely be trying to maximum attack speed while balancing movement speed. too much movement speed will space out the attacks and overcome your attack speed so that you have minimal aoe coverage of the explosions, but too slow MS will mean you're a snail and that always sucks, lol.
i know i'll first be trying with as much movement speed as i can muster. should be able to hit around 250% pretty easily. |

" The issue with this is that the explosions overlap a lot... like a lot. So when you move that fast you only get 5 explosions but the maximum number with okay attack speed and just boots you get 12+ explosions that are mostly all overlapping while with 250% move speed you just do the base DPS with no over lap so you completely lose the benefit of the multiple explosions (other than for damage over the whole line). So if you increase it even more than 250% you start to lose full coverage and will leave gaps of full HP dudes |

you're basing this off that one website thing which supposedly calculates it, which who knows how accurate that is.
but again, its about movement. yes if you want to walk the speed of a lvl 1 marauder wearing armor then by all means with high attack speed you can get upwards of 12 overlapping explosions which is a lot of damage but extremely little speed. great for single target. or you can move fast and get less overlapping explosions. as i said in my post, it will be about balancing the movement speed with your attack speed - to your liking. clearly you'll want faster movement speed to clear maps, as you won't need as much dps/overlapping explosions and you want to go through it pretty quickly. single target you'll want to move slower. this is just obvious stuff. |
