Here's the Skill Gem information for the new Charged Dash!

Cuz I wanna use this in a Dory's Fist build.

It doesn't look like it. It's current weapon restrictions are: Claw, Dagger, One Hand Sword, Thrusting One Hand Sword, One Hand Axe, One Hand Mace, Sceptre, Staff, Two Hand Sword, Two Hand Axe, Two Hand Mace.
okay this skill looks amazing. 40% more attack speed, and 100% more damage with hits at maximum dash distance? wow.

i wonder what the maximum dash distance is. but with a mound of attack speed and mounds of movement speed you'll be able to get to its max distance very quickly, i imagine, as well as frequent hits while you go (again depending on attack speed).

this looks fricking phenomenal. i can't wait to use it and see what weapons work best with it.
i wanted to try with hyaon's fury but with the weapon restrictions now im thinking doryanis catalyst

im 100% building this with maximum frenzy charges (+1 frenzy darkrays) as raider with empowered onslaught. just the frenzy's, with 10 max, and onslaught will be giving me 110% movement speed and 120% attack speed.
max foil attack speed with flat elemental dmg might be the best bet here, but until i get something relatively close to that i'll probably just dual wield doryani's catalyst, or maybe dreamfeathers and stack the newly buffed added dmg gems.

there's a reason it won't support unarmed? i'd like to hear it...
(it's cool that it works with all melee weapons though)

That's... extremely disappointing. I don't suppose there's any chance it could be adjusted to work with unarmed? Doesn't seem like it would break any of the unspoken rules with unarmed (i.e. 'no not-really-melee damage') any more than shield charge does, and it'd be fun to have another good attack and movement option for the brawlers. Besides that, Dory's Fist is just made for hybrid attack-spell builds and cwc-charged dash would be a beautiful route if it could work.

Barring that, it'd help to clear up that tooltip, at least add the term 'weapon' somewhere in there.

I am glad it works with 2handers at least, given the teaser video only showed 1handers. I'm sick of using leap slam or weapon swapping to move.

Yup, need to update that skill description with weapon only.
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

I've been wondering this very thing since I saw the skill. Also thinking the same as you. Thanks for the answers Bex. You should consider the two back-up plans I had Shppy -

Martyr of Innocence
Hyaon's Fury

Going to plan out a build for both and see which I like better. Either way I'm using Cast While Channeling, Spark, and the new Spark threshold jewel.

This is gonna be a great league.
Hey, quick question and maybe I'm reading this wrongly. It says with lower movement speed with faster attack speed gives more attacks per cast essentially. I thought you wanted lots of movement speed and lots of attack speed to maximize the potential of this skill? So are you either getting faster movement speed to obtain the MORE damage faster or move slower to get more attacks in for mobs? I'm just confused here.

The way it works is that the secondary mirages, which do AoE damage, are placed as you move along the teleport path at your movement speed, while attacking at your attack speed, and each attack places one AoE. So faster attack speed means they're closer together. (Less "travel time" between each one). Faster movement speed means they're further apart. (You travel further in the time between each "attack".)

seems like you can optimize it for either way you want to run it. what isn't defined is whether the maximum dash distance is based off your movement speed or not

since each attack is aoe, im thinking i still want to run it with as much movement speed as i can so i can clear faster and dash(cast) faster.
but for single target you'd get most overlapping damage by having slow movement speed and fast attack speed, that seems certain.
still think thematically this should be a spell. Looks cool, though.
