[3.6 Video Guide] Beginner's Guide SRS Baron Life [HC/SC/Atziri/Uber Izaro/Shaper Viable]

Hey Ghazzy -
Once you start mapping, which is the best upgrade to focus on as a single item?
+2 6L, Baron, etc

Thanks

Hey,

+2 6L 2H > Baron.

I would say that the Baron is the last upgrade with the current prices.

So posting this from a SSF perspective first of all ;)
I feel like i have some damage problems. Trash mobs are fine on T1-T4. Cant finish of Merc lab, due to lacking of damage on Izo. Got any suggestions, stuff to move around or anything else, that might push me a bit? I figure if I get merc lab done, my damage is going to increase alot and help me forward :)

Edit: Switch around Mistress and spirit eater, helped me get merc lab done :)

I dunno about Bisco's leash. I find that the mob density now sucks so much to keep up rampage.
I see pack, SRS kills them, i pick up loot, go to next pack, rampage is about over, first SRS kill is too late and rampage ends. I usually only get to like 50-75 stacks before it's over.
Tempted to try out the Magnate I saw someone else on here using.
I take it the physical damage mod on it applies to minions?
Earlier in this thread it was stated that nothing on your gear or skill tree that doesn't explicitly say "minion" on it won't work. But how about Grip of the Council? The extra cold damage is based on physical damage and it doesn't say minion, but I think it works.(Hard to say since there's no tool tip dps and the effect isn't really that noticeable imo)

The baron seems too expensive on hardcore atm to be feasible anytime soon. Should I continue the skill tree the way it is? seems like it would make more sense to take more minion dmg nodes and maybe whispers of doom instead of all the strength and respec later?
From t9+ maps im feeling extremely squishy, I don't really know what I could do to fix that. I hate how SRS doesn't take aggro from you, makes some bosses/mobs that jump to you really annoying.

The amulet is honestly really wasted, your helmet grants you almost nothing :S
Keep in mind that the +2 minion gems mod on the helmet is LOCAL which means it only applies to sockets in the helmet which is fine if you are using the helmet as your main links.

The physical roll does not apply to minions as you said yourself, I've stated that mods that don't specificy minions won't affect minions.

Grip of the Council Mods
"Minions have +40% to cold resistance"
"Minions gain 20% of physical damage as extra cold damage"

Those are both specificying that they affect minions.

Build works very well without Baron, so you should see it as the "last" upgrade piece for your build :)
Tree should be the same.

Decoy totem should sort that, what's your gear setup?

The Decoy totem is only lvl 16, at lvl 18+ it will be much more reliable in t9+ maps. Outside of that the only thing you can do is get the last HP nodes or try a Spell Totem + Skeleton for decoying instead.

Though, honestly I would just get that Decoy Totem up in lvl the gear and everything looks solid to me and you would want to get that Baron helmet next.

Try getting the Decoy totem to a higher lvl, see how it feels and report back here!

Finally got myself The Baron helmet.
Now I have SRS lvl 27(corrupted SRS 21lvl; +3maul and empower lvl 3) and 693 strength points. Astramentis, grip of the council and bisco's belt I have already as well. Any advice on how to get 1000 strength points? Despite the gear I'm the noobiest of all noobs...
