Let's discuss the life vs ES manifesto (keep it civil guys, we are just nerds)

Anyway, surely this is what the manifesto should read as:

"
We've seen a single player on reddit reaching over 25,000 Energy Shield while still having the damage output to sufficiently complete all of the content in the game due to having a full set of perfect mirrored gear, compared with the 9,000 Life that a slightly above average Life character with a 5 link belly purchased for a few chaos orbs had, so we've decided to completely fuck up ES builds for everyone else

Do people who support whats originally written actually believe that the equivilently geared life build to a 25k ES build would only have 9k life?

Seriously?

Dark Souls series is about 10x as unforgiving unless you take CI/BM in POE

BS. Dark souls is a fucking casual simpleton game.

...
Spoiler
No EXP loss on death, aint no one curr if you die if you dont lose EXP

Souls games don't have many common one shots (unless you do some super glass cannon setup) and are built for melee characters in mind.

Dark Souls, Nioh, Bayonetta, Devil May Cry and many more.

Do you even game, bruh?

Nice list of casual scrubcore games, I cant be bothered too waste my time looking up just to likely find out that you dont lose any progress in them if you die.

Tales of Maj Eyal is 1000000x more hardcore than any of those easy peasy games, and my favorite go to game for a decent challenge.

Or even Dungeonmans, I bet you lamer noobcore hello kitty adventure game players havnt even tried, and wouldnt even dare to play Dungeonmans.

This is where my discussion with you ends. You lack the respect and reason for a proper argument. You couldn't counter a statement and now resort to childish, condescending remarks.

FYI: Bayonetta on highest difficulty is super hard even for the most skilled of players. Then there are games like Guitar Hero that are hard by default.

It's like you don't even care. You are just here to incite arguments and throw tantrums about ES that have nothing to do with ES.

Zzzzz. Youre the one that threw a load of scrubcore games at me as examples, and accusing me of only wanting to play easy games.

Come back at me when you manage to beat the Dungeon Craplord, or you seriously have zero clue what so ever about difficult games.

'Finding the gamd too hard? You can always drop to casual difficulty' ...

I'd rather just die ...

Now its your turn, lets see you win ... You probably wont even get past the first fight on the highest difficulty.

Let's keep this to Life vs ES guys :)

I believe alot of the changes would be retroactive in nature? i.e a 900 ES chest would be 600 ES post change? What would happen to say mirrored gear?

Anyone with insights based on previous item changes via patches?

But they mocked my ability at games because of my opinions on this turd fested manifesto.

The level in Braid that the community determined to be the hardest in the game, and this was literally what I did on my first ever attempt with no help ...

Well, I made it more entertaining when I recorded it cos I had not the slightest clue how anyone could find that hard.

Wow, I only play easy games obviously.

Do we know for sure that these changes apply to already rolled items? I might have to read again, but I was under the impression that those items basically go legacy (something that has to die already).

Seriously? Why are you even posting in the thread to discuss the manifesto when you havnt even read the manifesto?

9k life is as hard to get as 25k ES brah. The entire manifesto post is a pure troll post by the devs, Im sure its just a long delayed Aprils Fools prank now.

Not sure to be honest. For example, when legacy league was launched, some item changes were global and retroactive (dagger innate crit chance) whilst others would update only if a divine or blessed orb (sword innate crit multiplier) was used.

Game changing major effects tend to be retroactive based on my experience and this would qualify as that. If the ES changes are not retroactive, the current ES gear would rocket up greatly in price. For example, what if you have a ring that has already a 20% ES craft to it. Does it simply disappear? If it does not, it would be very valuable going forward.

Probably a question for the devs....
