People killed shaper and got level 100 in hc playing ssf but RMT/trading is required. Is that what you're trying to say?

Honestly i've lost track. But mainly:

Trading is terrible, its not even worth it yet its required. And because its terrible, it encourages RMT for easier access.

Also, theres a hypocrisy here of being against RMT while inadvertently encouraging it.

I just want trading to be eaiser. Why do I have to be logged on 24/7 to make anything happen? I don't think GGG will ever fix this so i'm quitting.

Trading is a hassle indeed, but it's not so bad that you can't equip most builds. You don't need RMT either. I'm a shitty trader, I don't really follow what is going on in trading meta and as I said I avoid trading as much as possible.

Just start early in league and for the first two weeks you can do a lot of trades, as you level. I usually play self-found into mid maps and then do some trading to min-max red endgame. It rally is doable with minimal trading, but you have to play "regularly" in the first weeks.

But even if you disregard trading altogether (eg. play in SF leagues), the game still has a lot of fun to offer. It would be a mistake to dismiss it, just because the trading "system" is garbage. (but yeah, if you want the best items out there, you are forced to trade, no way around that)

Hey you are very sensible, thanks.

Anyway. I'm pretty sure its gonna be the same no matter what I do. But, you have made me reconsider just playing in leagues with friends or something, playing self found of course and not playing regularily.

Honestly, I don't have anything against the playerbase. It's not their faults (completely)

It's GGG i'm mad at... They are the ones behind the scenes manipulating everything.

We desperately need a better way of trading...

I think this really nails it. All other games of this type rely on time and equipment to progress. They don't rely on players developing skills and understanding...
Learning to move... sometimes towards the danger, sometimes tangentially, sometimes radially... is key to this game. They don't understand that and they never will.

Sometimes I wonder whether I play the same game as others. If only skill would be required to do and access all endgame content, I am pretty sure that the amount of players doing it would be much much higher than the tiny 0.01% of the playerbase. In POE, endgame access is extremely gated behind RNG, which means that there are two ways to accessing it: (1) investing huge amount of time or (2) shortcut via trading (the easiest mode).

In my case, I have only tried shaper once, if I want to repeat that fight to learn the mechanics, I have two options: (1) doing maps which in my case most of the time are tier10-13 maps because it is very difficult to sustain high tier14-16 maps; or (2) I buy the fragments, which I do not like because I am against of trading for accessing content.

This league I am playing only SSF, and one can see very well how the game is build around trading when you cannot do it. Nevermind, I like the league a lot but so far I think very few persons have managed to kill shaper in SSF mode.

I would like to see POE with less RNG gated contend and more skill gated content.
^ or be a streamer and get gifted sets/keys by your audience. There is a lot of skill in this game (beyond the normal trading/knowing value/building stuff) and when streamers gets 50 mortal sets a week he can pretty much beat uber with any build because practice makes perfect.

I remember when I started doing uber failed like 6x with very strong builds. Today I can do it with much weaker builds. Its all practice. Sadly most dont get it in dude to shit gating. Thats one thing that bugs me for sure. Remove guaranteed drops if you have to but running inane content 99% of time is not fun for a chance at big bosses. Thats why I usually quit around 91-93

I've done uber maybe 200x lucky I can trade and spent prolly 600ex doing it. Found 3 sets on my own.

itt: "No OP you're wrong, this is the greatest game ever".

You're correct, it hasn't changed at all other than reducing desync and adding master crafting. GGG is good at making it look like they're changing things when really it's the same, and they NEVER target the problems of the game.

I don't know why I play at all, either.
Think there is a difrance in shoping items and actualy you know depend on RNG.
For example i trie to 6L my sword for 5 days, spending 200-300 fus a day, this is some serious income for how mach time i play, scraping evrithing into one thing and RIP.

Now considering there is some items on PoE trade you need thats fine, but when trade die the league die. So even if there is 1c item i cant buy it and geting rng to make it your self if insanity, trust me i been there and done that.

Farming a loot i can tell first hand evry rare i picked up evry single one, im still to finde something selable, if i ever get something dicent its 89% crafted.
Even chaos recepy some time is just imposible, this league you get rings from breach, you chance belts and boots, got some essence here and there so not bad but some time i not see missing pice almost all day for single chaos recepy.

Game is balanced araund trade aperantly but trade is not even in the game, when trade die out the league die imidietly. You can have 1000 exalts but nobady online to sell you the cheep GG gears for your hipster build. Honesly if you whana do crafting thos 1k exalts wont make mach difrance. I got lacky crafting 900+ ES chest, sold it and then tried agen, i spend all i earn and 50% (1300 chaos) of that and never even got close to selable or invesment return.

Thing whit trade and rng is you get what you need or you dont, RNG is costly and not a waithing game tho. But mine time you are stuck and frustration can realy be to mach even if you accept rng.
Mostly people shop, and spred out intrest so they have sence of progresing but focusing on one thing and geting ravaged with rng is most horible thing you can expiriance in this game.
Well ther is one thing more anoying and thats people saying "its RNG" and all they ever know of RNG is poe trade. Most important of all is to get what you need, rng/trade it all have its problems but it does not say it cant be made litle better and reduce frustration to some sensible levels.

There are SSF (Solo, self found) leagues now, with their own ladders and shit. No trading, no RMT, perhaps something for you.
